NOVA 46902 Comet 14DR Variable Speed 14 in. Midi Lathe Bundle

Details
The NOVA Comet 14DR Midi Lathe continues the legacy of the Comet Mini Lathes into larger, expanded capacity and easy to use digital functionality. This exclusive bundle provides additional accessories to enhance your turning skills. Bundle includes 48232 G3 Chuck, 9091 Small Bowl Rest and 9028 12 in. Tool Rest that can be used with the standard tool post.
This is a solid cast iron lathe, with Digital Readout, and a 14 in. Swing Capacity, making it an ideal entry level lathe, a secondary lathe or an investment for long term wood turners and woodworkers who want a smaller footprint but a flexible capacity lathe option in their workshop. Its 2-step electronic variable speed range from 250 RPM to 3450 RPM provides you the flexibility of slower speeds for larger unbalanced pieces and higher speeds for sanding and finishing operations.
With its easy to use dial-in speed adjustment, correct speeds are quickly set for the job, material and conditions eliminating potentially dangerous fixed-speeds you find on other machines. The NOVA Comet 14DR is the perfect solution for a wide variety of projects from small pens to larger bowls and platters. The easy to read screen lets you know at what speed you are turning. The Comet 14DR offers forward and reverse, adding flexibility that allows a superior finish and reducing the need for extensive sanding. The new larger capacity provides 14 in. Capacity Over Bed - 18.5 in. between Centers and 44 in. between centers when the optional bed extension (purchase separately) is added.
Solid, precision machined cast iron for durability, stability and vibration dampening CAD designed webbing to absorb vibration throughout the bed length and exceptional fit and finish.
Easily accessible and adjustable pulleys allow speed range changes in seconds for 250-1100 RPM and 750-3450 RPM. Other features include, 6 in. modular tool rest with stainless steel wear rods on top edge, 1 in. tool post, strong 2MT spindles, quick action cam controls for belt tensioning with comfortable rubber grip for fast and secure locking. Standard equipment includes Faceplate (3 in. /80 mm), NOVA Modular Toolrest and Post, NOVA 2MT Live Center, NOVA 2MT Spur Center, Knock Out Bar, Manual and Fastenings.
