NOT up to Milwaukee product quality
I own many Milwaukee tools. I was very satisfied with the trimmer after I bought it. But the head wore out after several uses in 4 months. Now I need to replace the head with a new assembly that will not last.
I suggest that engineering come up with a cast or formed metal bump cap cover that will correct the ware problem. I plan to make my own metal cover for the new assembly to make it last longer. Please keep me informed of design improvements made to the head.

Same experience as everyone else the trimmer head lasted maybe 10 uses. It started malfunctioning before I even ran out of the string that comes with it. Now it either won't feed the string at all or it unwinds itself and I end up with 6" pieces of string everywhere and it goes through the 20' of string it holds before the battery wears out. This is the first Milwaukee product I have ever been disappointed in.

Love the trimmer hate the head
My trimmer head wore out in less then one season of use and now my options for replacement are poor to none. What a waste and shame for such a great piece of equipment to fail because of one poorly designed piece, the trimmer head cover.

Yeah this thing is bad.
It just doesn't work. It doesn't bump feed at all. The line just jams up as it winds into the head. Makes the otherwise great trimmer pretty awful. It also is pretty thin and fliexible plastic. Milwaukee please make this right!

The worst trimmer head
The trimmer is excellent and the trimmer head is the worst i have ever used. The hedge trimmer and edging attachment both work fine but the trimmer head spends more time jammed and being disassembled and reloaded than it does cutting grass. Looking for a recommendation on a replacement

TERRIBLE Head design!!!
I have spent a lot of money on Milwaukee tools and love them but I wish I had read these reviews before buying this. In only 3 months I need to replace the head. I only use this trimmer for my own home and that's once a week so I've used it between 12-15 times. I have a 1/3 acre fenced lot and the fact that this head needs to be replaced already is very upsetting. What is even more upsetting is how much the replacement head will cost. I really don't know what I am going to do. I can't afford to be replacing this head every few months after paying close to $200 for the tool to begin with.
Milwaukee, you really let me down.

What have you done Milwaukee? you have so much nice tools but this time you failed bad

The trimmer itself impressed me with more power and running time than I expected.
But it wasn't long before the trimmer head started failing. It stopped feeding the line and i have to take it apart an clean it everytime i use it.
got it about a year ago, this is not good enough

i would recomend this if the head was as god, as the trimmer is awesome!

My wife says it is to heavy with the 9 or 12 volt batteries
Overall great , no cords to drag around or noisy gas to deal with
