Excellent Sound - Solution for Bluetooth
Actually the sound is on par with Marshall Portable Bluetooh speakers. which is impressive. Easy to charge a M18 battery as well. Bluetooth is easy to set up - You have to hold down the Bluetooth button until you hear a BEEP then you will see it on your phone. If you see a Bluetooth flashing (which you will if you just cycle through the mode button - it will not connect. You have to push and hold.. hear the beep then Milwaukee will show up and you are done. Iphone 8 + will fit in the top container but you cannot have a case on it. (Limited room for oversize phones.). Seems like Durable construction, feels Heavy Duty,

Love the radio and the fact that it charges or runs off of the battery. Only wish it had a remote control. When phone rings have to go turn it down.

great sound, iffy design
Sound and volume levels are good. FM tuner almost unusable when charging battery. volume/ power button is placed in the worst spot, easily damaged and replacement part is $120. I'll throw mine away and purchase something else. Bluetooth connectivity is sketchy.

Awesome radio no issues like other's mentioned
I've had this radio for about a year ...
Its loud ... it has good clean sound... I bluetooth music and podcasts daily it sounds great
it bounces around my trailer and is very durable ...

It's a Milwaukee... it lives up to its name and what you would expect from Milwaukee:)
It runs off wall power and it runs or charges m18 batteries seamlessly

If I had to make a complaint it would be the battery is close to the top handle making it a little tight to get a full grip on the top handle .... however I always use the big 9 amp batteries and a smaller battery wouldn't be so tight..... but that's not a deal breaker to me

Also a 12 volt battery charger would be super nice
All my other 18volt chargers are dual voltage why not this radio ??

Overall I'd highly recommend this radio to anyone who runs Milwaukee m18 tools or anyone wanting a good loud portable sterio I love mine

Faulty radio
I’ve had this radio for a couple of years now. I only used it in my shop and it has never been on a job site. It’s been about a year since I’ve put a battery pack in it to power the unit in the backyard. Now it won’t run off of a battery pack. I’d hate to see what would of happened to this radio if it was on a construction site. My Dewalt jobsite radio is still going strong on the jobsite.

Display screen burnt out already
I purchased this radio for my boyfriend for his birthday at the beginning of May. He is a big fan of anything Milwaukee, however, this radio is not up to par. In total, he has probably used this radio 5 times since he has received it and the display is burnt out. Mind you this happened when the radio was actually plugged in and not using the actual battery. I am super disappointed with this product. It's an expensive radio, so the quality should be superior and it's not.

I would buy this radio again.
I use this radio whare ever I go. Home, work out doors. Picks up stations very well and the Bluetooth works fabulous. I have read several complaints about the Bluetooth not working properly and feel it is their device and not the radio. We use this with 3 different devices and had zero problems.

I guess I'm happy?...
I am a big fan of the Milwaukee M18 line. When I made the jump from Dewalt I had to get this radio to replace my Dewalt job site radio. There is a lot about this radio that I like....obviously charging my 18V batteries, charging my phone from either A/C or D/C is great, I am happy with the sound quality and the unit does appear to be well built. The Bluetooth is where the issue lies. I bought this radio a year and a half ago...I had also just switched from Apple to Android. I could not get the radio to pair with my phone and I just figured it was something to do with my android. I was blaming my phone and not the radio. A while after that a friend was helping me in the shop and he could not get his Iphone to pair, which really surprised me. Now that I have spent some time researching this I am finding this to be a common problem and if you are able to sync up, the quality is reported to be terrible. I am disappointed because Bluetooth was an important feature to me. So beware, if you want reliable , or even usable Bluetooth, this probably is not the radio for you.

BEST ANSWER: this item weighs 17 lbs.
Does the radio have receptacles to plug cords into , like the Bosh . If not will this coming soon ?
Bot Flot on Jun 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No Plugs For 120 volt power on the one I have, a little heavy with the included battery charger.
A battery charged in the charging port will power the radio for many hours.
Good radio, the music I listen to is recorded on a portable player. The player is powered by the USB port built into the radio. Much of the time I am in the country with poor radio reception .

Does it come with a battery
Bob on May 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: @Dennis - For being a "Staff Expert" you really botched your answer. Want to try again there bud? I know it's old but you still have bunk information for any future purchasers.

The correct answer is No, this does not come with a battery. It IS, however, a charger. It will charge your M18 batteries. I know that wasn't the question but our Staff Expert may have given confusing information.
I already have $1000 invested in M-12 products.
Is there an adapter to use m-12 batteries in this?
Also what is the actual weight of the unit.
Dixie on May 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have this radio and it is good radio.
All of my tools are M-18.
The unit is a little heavy with the charge included.
I play recorded music most of the time with a small music recorder plugged in, with the included USB port the player can be charged at the same time the music is being played.
It would be better if a CD player was included in the radio. I have a few CDs I play in the truck and it would be nice to use the same CDs. I guess I need to get a small CD player that can be powered by the USB port.
I think they have a smaller radio that operates off of M-12, do not know if it includes a charger. Look at see if they still have the other radio. My son has one of the radios in his shop.
I use the small impact driver a lot and keep a battery in the charger so a fresh battery is always available when it is needed.
Sometimes the AM is a little weak when listening to baseball games. A short wire around the antenna helps sometime in getting a good signal in AM mode.

Josh on Apr 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Sorry it took so long but I gave the radio to my son for his birthday. Talked to him his weekend and he said his radio has been running about 22 hours on a 3amp hour battery and still has 2 bars left. He loves really loves the radio. Made a bracket to mount it on the lawn mower. If I go to the weld shop it playing endlessly even if I am welding on high frequency and the blue tooth is great. My son told me he would rather the radio than his new M18 3/8th impact. Good luck.

Put it under an edge or small roof at least. I love mine, the sound and reception is great! I would never leave it outside in the rain, your talking electronics here!

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
