Picture shows old head (AMAZING), what you receive is new head (JUNK)
I have the old head and weedeater, have used it for 2 years and has been amazing. Saw these on sale and purchased 2 more because I noticed they had the old head (as pictured). Received them and they have the new head on them. Read the other reviews, the new heads are junk!!! The weedeater itself is awesome other than the new head.

Overheating
I can only get maybe 10 minutes out of this trimmer before it starts to stop on me. Very unhappy with this product. I have a blower that runs on the same battery and it performs perfectly!

Overheats and shuts down in 10 min
Just like many other users. Overheating under moderate use is unacceptable. You need a larger or more efficient fan/heatsink. I will probably have to do that myself unless a recall is issued.

Works great for non fuel trimmer when it works
I've had this trimmer for a few months now and was originally impressed with its power considering it's running off a battery. It by no means will cut brush as advertised but for non commercial yard work I think it's perfect. The issue is the unit is either over heating or the trigger is shorting out as others have stated. Granted it's hot outside but 15 min into weed eating it cuts out. I have several 9.0 batteries so can change out immediately but does not remedy the problem. I'm not using it in thick heavy weeds just standard yard trimming. Very frustrated as I only own Milwaukee power tools and now hand tools too. This is the only product from Milwaukee I've ever had issue with and for the considerably high cost (for battery operated trimmers) I was expecting a superior product. Wasnt expecting it to out do my 600$ shindaiwa but it should easily trim my yard weeds. Maybe I bought a lemon but buyer beware.

Maybe Overkill
When I needed a new battery powered string trimmer, I purchased this Milwaukee unit - primarily to keep the number of different batteries/chargers in my home to a minimum. I always use it on the low speed setting, which is plenty adequate to trim grass. Seems well made, but it probably overkill for my uses. I'll probably make two mods to it (1) affix a shoulder strap to it as it is a bit heavy and (2) mount a wire guard out front of the string head to remind me how close I can get to things I DON'T want to annihilate. My lot is about 11,000 SF, with an above ground pool and 3 raised be gardens to trim around. Charged it once, and have done the lawn twice so far without a recharge, probably 30 to 35 minutes of run time. I think it will make the 1 hour run time claim. If it doesn't I'll update this review.

Can you attach a metal blade head in place of the trimmer string?
Chris J on Oct 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Model 2725-21HD is not recommended to change the head. If you were to make any altercations to the item it may void the warranty.
Can you use other Milwaukee batteries that are not fuel?
A shopper on May 4, 2017
