Not as good as all talk about it
I have been in business for 30 years and in the trade for 45 years and have always been a Milwaukee fan. So when I started to get into cordless tools it was obvious that I was going to stay with Milwaukee. I have a boat load of cordless tools now and I must say I am getting frustrated with Milwaukee. I have been through so many tools and everytime I say something to my supplier and they mention it to the Milwaukee Rep they say we are using them too hard. Let me tell you I take care of my tools. I still have my fathers steel corded tools that still work. We use the M12 and the M18 hacksaws and I can tell you I have been through about 4 M12 Hacksaws and 3 M18 Sawzalls. These are great tools but they need to holdup better or Milwaukee is going to lose a really good customer. Sorry to saw that but lets see what Milwaukee can do.

Way better than a sawzall
I own both a hackzall and a sawzall personally I prefer the hackzall because the blade release has problems Holding and letting go of the blade. The hackzall on the other hand has the older twist type release and works great every time. It is not lacking in power compared to the sawzall and the 5.0 battery lasts longer. Not saying either is a bad tool And I would pick the Milwaukee sawzall over any other brand but Given a choice it’s hackzall all the way

One handed Sawzall
My M18 Fuel Sawzall sits in it’s Packout waiting for that big, nasty demo, but the M18 Fuel Hackzall has proven it’s more than capable and lets you hold onto that piece that you don’t want falling to the ground. Obviously, while this thing is more like a surgeon’s scalpel, you don’t want to put your hand too close to the blade.

Great tool for trail maintenance work!!!!
I use my M18 Fuel Hackzall while working on a volunteer trail building and maintenance crew. It works great with Milwaukee's carbide Ax blades for cutting dirty roots, small trees and branches while working on our trails. We usually have two or three of them on the job site and they are in constant use. It's a constant companion on the trail!

I would buy again
I was looking for a saw to prune my trees and be able to cut lumber. This saw with the proper blades does the job and it can be done with one hand. Impressive!!

Great control and power.
This Fuel Hackzall is an awesome balance of power and one handed control. Great for overhead or detail work. Sometimes you need the two handed Fuel Sawzall for heavy work and sometimes an M12 is great for r delicate work. 95% of the time we run this FUEL hackzall. Decent stroke, controllable with one hand, great power and run time. Highly recommend.

Excellent for tree limbing
I use this and an M12 hackzall to limb up the trees in my forest and they have cut through every branch. The M18 version cuts faster and runs a lot longer than the M12 version on a charge, but is heavier. I grab either one depending on the mood...
