Works good, wish it could be used like a ratchet
I am a field technician. I mainly do minor repairs to engines and generators in the oil and gas industry. I like this ratchet a lot. It is quick and the two speeds allow you to turn it down a bit. It has held up for over 4 years now.
The downside? You can not use this a manual ratchet. My M12 ratchets can both be used as manual ratchets. This allows you to get one more click tighter or loosen the fastener enough that the ratchet can remove it.

Small, compact M18 tool for smaller fasteners
Great for its intended uses! This hand-sized, (non-fuel tool is great for limited space, one-handed applications where you don't need a high-torque impact...this great tool is NOT intended for bus or tractor lug-nuts, highway sign fasteners, street light base plates or bridge bolts, etc. I use this with 2.0 AH compact battery for assembling cruiser bicycles and installing/removing trailer hitch anti-rattle clamps. In carpentry, it has also been useful for deck subframe assembly where corners converge and a larger impact simply won't fit. It easily zips in GRK, HeadLOK and LedgerLOK structural fasteners and is much faster than the hand ratchet/socket method. This specialty tool won't replace the 2767 or 2867 in terms of sheer power and torque, but for the many places those 8 to 13 pound brutes simply won't fit, and for small to mid-size fasteners, THIS lightweight 3/8 right angle impact will speed up the job and breeze through most tasks easily.

Won't use this tool anymore
I have the smaller rachet and use it, this larger one does not lock so any stubborn bolt you can't use the tool to loosen it in lock position and can't tighten past the point the tool tightens so without a lock like a rachet it is useless to me. Just sits in tool box. Get the 12v version that is a ratchet not an impact

This tool performs as intended.
I am an electrical contractor / electrician, I use this tool frequently to install ¼” diameter 3/8” hex head screws to mount panels, assemble the connection plates on bus duct, install uni-strut conduct racks, I have not had any problems tightening various fasteners…I don’t believe this tool was manufactured for use by truck, heavy equipment or car mechanics, those trades obviously require tools with higher nut busting torque…The best situation would be use the correct tool for the task…Would you haul 800 pounds of concrete blocks in a Mini Cooper…

I bought this tool for a specific purpose. I wanted a tool that would tighten
a bolt to less than 60 ft lbs. It does that very well. No more block of wood required,
just zip it off and zip it on. Perfect for me. If you need a tool with more power, and I have a couple with a lot more power, get a different tool.

What an impact
I bought this tool to work on a car I am restoring. Anyone who has worked on a car knows how difficult some bolts can be to get at. Because of the size and design and with the right universal socket, I managed to show a professional mechanic that getting to a bolt that he thought was impossible to get at with his snap on tools was possible with my new Milwaukee. He was so impressed with the design, torque and easy of use that he wanted to change out his impacts. He hasn't even tried my 3/8" or 1/2" standard impacts yet. He was amazed at how quiet my 3/8" right angle is and yet how effortless it was to remove rusted on old bolts. It was a delight to use by the both of us. Thank you Milwaukee.

Useful Addition to Milwaukee Tool Collection
This is a useful tool in all types of applications. If a nut or bolt can't be loosened with this tool it means you need a breaker bar in most cases not a problem. Since I have a number of 18V Milwaukee tools the batteries are there whichever tool I need to use. The batteries charge fast and last well.
