The Milwaukee M18 Cordless Multi-Tool cuts up to 50% faster and delivers up to 2X more cuts per charge than the competitors. With best-in-class speed and performance, the cordless Multi-Tool offers the versatility to complete problematic jobsite applications. Ideal for remodelers, flooring contractors, maintenance repair technicians and electricians, the cordless Multi-Tool cuts, grinds, sands and scrapes at odd angles and in areas difficult to work. The ubiquitous multi tool is a must have tool! There’s are sooooooo many things that you can do with this tool except run it for a long time. The variable speed died on the second flooring job I took this to and the replacement that I purchased died the same way after one day of use. Please make a FUEL version of this tool and include an an easier way to quickly change blades the current method takes way to long and leaves the possibility of losing the blade retaining bolt.

Switching over to Milwaukee tools but not this one
I am in the process of switching over to Milwaukee tools but not this one. The slide switch just meant that it just keeps running when you let go of the tool or it slips from your hand. This one fell about 4 feet and landed on the battery flipping it over onto a linoleum floor, because it kept running destroyed the flooring before I could even bend over to pick it up. That cost me way more than the saw would have. Glad I borrowed instead of buying. I like the variable speed paddle switch on my Yellow & Black, I let go and its off.

Secondly It won't set standing up on the battery up like my Yellow & Black does, you must lay it down wasting more workspace.

Great addition to my cordless tools
This multi tool works very well. The tool is adequately powered and handles the job very well. No more winding up the twenty foot long cord on my Fein saw!

I’m finishing 3 bathrooms. This tool makes cutting baseboards too easy.

Not a professional tool.
I don't understand why they don't make it brushless.
The motor has now started to smell like burnt again. This is the second time since I bought it.
First time Milwaukee replaced the entire interior components.
Will see what they do now that it is failing again.
Not happy at all.

Power is Ok. But not great. Compared to dewalt.
The tool needs a refresh.
Needs a more powerful/brushless motor.

How many Watts or Amps does it have? Does it match the power of Bosch 3.0 Amp multi tool? Thank you.
Fuel guy on Mar 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This M18 Cordless Lithium-Ion Multi-Tool has a voltage of 18. The Bosch corded multi-tool has from 8,000-20,000 orbits per minute while the Milwaukee battery-powered multi-tool has 11,000-18,000 orbits per minute. So, the Bosch multi-tool gives you a bigger range of orbits per minute and has higher OPM's than the Milwaukee.
What (if any) blades come with the tool or do I have to buy the blades separate?
Damien on Nov 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This is the bare tool which means you will get the tool only. Anything else must be purchased separately.
