34000 rivets
I purchased two of the rivet tools to complete a job that entailed riveting 34,000 rivets. The tools works but with some issues. They required constant cleaning or the pops will get caught in the injection tube. Another issue is, the tool is heavy as the day proceeds you will swear that is weighs 100 pounds. I will say that the tools did ok overall , we may have been asking more from them than normal

Great rivet setting tool
I got this tool to work on my new aluminum boat. I had to remove the seat tops to install my swivel seats. I had to drill out the original rivet's and I used this tool to set new rivets, about 40, to put everything back together. The rivets were 3/16 x 1". It would taken me a week to do them manually. Very easy to use tool.

One of the best investments for my company
I don't need to drag around a small air compressor to operate a pneumatic pop riveter. I can now just use this. So much more convenient.

Describe Yourself:
Poor Design
When riveting with small diameter fasteners...
When using this NEW tool...
The rivet pins jammed in the waste tube.
2 pins had crossed over each other, ( I did not realize this then, as I attempted to fasten a third rivet, the pin jammed IN the jaws.
I had to disassemble the tool... nose cone & jaw assembly.
THEN using LONG a small nail with the point blunted flat, DRIVE OUT the jammed pins.

Larger diameter rivets are not a problem.

Be SURE to SHAKE the too to ensure pin(s) exit the waste tube inside the tool BEFORE another rivet is fastened.

Awesome tool!
I bought the M12 rivet tool to help with the refurbishment of a horse trailer that I stripped and repainted. After drilling hundreds of rivets to remove all the trim, I realized that reattaching it would be quite a chore with a manual rivet gun. After briefly considering a pneumatic gun, I realized Milwaukee made a cordless M12 rivet gun. I already have lots of M12 tools and batteries, so it just made sense to splurge and buy one. I am SO glad I did. Using this tool couldn't be easier; load a rivet, insert it into the hole, squeeze the trigger. Your met with a brief whirring noise then a satisfying 'pop' when the rivet sets. The first use put a big grin on my face. I'll probably never touch my manual rivet tool again. If you have a bunch of rivets in your future, buy this tool. Your hands will thank you.

The tool is a tad bulky, so it may not fit everywhere you'd want to use it. It's heavier than I thought it would be, but it feels robust and well made. The rivet stems don't just fall into the included collector on the back. I have to slide the previous one into the nose piece with my finger then push it the rest of the way with the next rivet. Not a big deal but I thought just tilting it up would allow them to slide out of the nose. Battery life is impressive. With a M12 2.0ah battery, I still had a full charge after 75-80 rivets. Overall this is an excellent tool that I highly recommend.
