I use this for trailers, bikes, law mowers and tractors (almost everything with a wheel), it’s awesome, but after 1 year the pressure reading had gone crazy. I like enough I even bought them for my father and father in law...That said, I expect a lot longer life than 1 year. Can someone from Milwaukee help me with this problem?
used same day it arrived - worked great. Light weight, set tire pressure automatically on our SUV - didn't have to use hand gage at each tire. unit has a preset pressure that you set and unit cuts off at the set point.
Overall, I think that this inflator is a good product. I purchased this as part of the Milwaukee M12 kit (miln2463-21rs) that inclused the Impact Wrench and a set of 3/8 metric socket set. Just tried this out this morning to fill the tires in my wife's car. I like the digital readout that provides current pressure and then you can set the desired fill to pressure. Depressing the same "check pressure" button starts the compressor. As my title expresses, this unit is loud. I'm comparing this to my 12VDC corded VIAIR unit that is awesome by the way. You can barely tell the VIAIR unit is running most times. If you decide to buy this Milwaukee unit, just be prepared for it to be loud. Functionality is great. Just like most Milwaukee tools I own.
Bought this Inflator for my car and it worked with no issues.used a 3.0 battery and it filled all four tires.pump will shut off automatically when psi is set.very easy and lightweight to use.Must have for everyone
I didn't buy this inflator to air up my truck tires nor did I buy it to air up my car tires! I have bigger air compressor for that. I bought this M12 inflator to keep my lawn tractor tires at equal balance and also my airplane tires!!!! I love the simplicity of this Milwaukee tool!!! Screw hose onto tire valve stem, set your desired pressure and turn it on. It cuts off automatically when desired pressure is reached. It can't get no easier than that!!! I just live this little tool. It does exactly what it was built for!!! Thanks Milwaukee!!!!!
I have owned and used this product for about 6 months and even recommended it to others. I mostly use it on passenger tires and motorcycle tires. I have used it even to seat the bead on a motorcycle tire. My only complaint is that the inflator now reads about 11 psi before hooking it up to the tire. So i have to calculate this difference each time which isn't a big deal. There is a process to "re-zero" or re calibrate the inflator but this has not worked. I should send it back but honestly love having it in my truck.
I had an expectation that this compressor would work out for my needs. I was wrong. I have 12 and 18 V tools and the storage cart - which is just OK as the wheels do not work.... back to the compressor.
It has a hard time with any kind of trailer tire or truck tire - if I rode a bicycle I’d be - Golden.
I think if Milwaukee utilized their 18 V system they might have a great compressor — bottom line is the 12 V compressor is not good for any industrial type use — if you’re looking to fill bicycle tires you are all set. Milwaukee tools target market is not in the bicycle market which is confusing to me.... you should stay in your lane and market to the industrial folks that you have been. You might be coming out with a new mountain bike who knows !!
I'm a personal and own a lot of Milwaukee tools and most of them are M12/18. For the most part I've been satisfied. I purchased one of these going they'd work out and first it worked great, a little slow but the set it and go was good so I decided to get 2 more so each of our work trucks had one. One by one they've all stopped working. I'm hoping I can send them back but with 3 outta 3 failing I'm not sure I want them fixed and doubt I can get my money back. At this point I wouldn't recommend these.
This is the best thing to carry in your car or truck thank you to the Milwaukee rep that suggested it to me. I filled up 4 flat tires on my car and had over 3/4 of my battery power left. I use a 6.0 ah battery
Does a decent job topping off a car tire or finishing inflating an inflatable SUP. Would probably need to stop for a cool down period and fresh battery if you need to fill more then one or two tires. Would be nice to have an 18 volt option.
Super easy to use and love that the end screws on to the valve stem of what you are pumping up so it connects easily without pushing the stem to where it cannot be reached. Not super powerful so it takes a bit to push out a few PSI, but highly recommended.
Worked great for small stuff, golf cart tires ect..Filled up two trailer tires to 65psi overheated and will run but not make pressure any more. This is the first Milwaukee tool that has ever failed me. Needs to be a lot more robust and prob m18 for me to buy another one.
Milwaukee has done it again. I love this tool. I plugged in a battery and topped off the tires on my truck in less time than it would’ve taken me to start my air compressor and manually fill the tires. The auto shut off at the set tire pressure is the greatest feature. I was able to set the tire pressure on the tool, hook up the hose, hit start and walk away to do something else. No more fill, check, fill, check, oops, over fill, let air out, check pressure. It does use a lot of battery so a larger battery pack would be a good idea if you’re going fill the tires on more than one vehicle at a time.
This lightweight tool is a necessary addition to your 12 V Milwaukee tool line up. I have many bikes, mowers, inflatables and this is the perfect way to keep them all inflated properly. Very easy to use.
A Compact Portable Cordless Air Compressor that can pay for itself
With gas stations charging for air, it's a good investment to have your own compressor. I have a full size compressor, but heavy to move it to the driveway and a long hose is a pain to unroll and roll up.. It's also a pain to fill an air tank to take to the vehicle and often you have to do this several times if you need a lot of air.
With this little compressor, I can just pick it up and set it on the ground next to my motorcycle. within less than a minute or two I can easily get the pressure correct because you can set the shut off pressure while monitoring the actual pressure. The hose has a spot to wind it up and the air chuck snaps into a holder. Uses standard Milwaukee M12 rechargeable batteries, which I already had two of, so buying just the bare tool was very economical and should pay for itself by not having to pay for air, but the convenience is well worth the cost.
Only drawback is it's kind of loud so airing your tires when your neighbors are asleep might wake them up. I haven't used this on a car tire yet, but for airing the tires on my motorcycle it's perfect.
Pros- faster, lighter ad smaller than I thought it would be. Easy to use, good quality. Light up display is really nice, display is easy to see in bright sun. Doubles as a pressure gauge. Auto set pressure is impressive. The ability to set up, start, and walk away is priceless. Ability to inflate kids toys and balls is an added bonus. My son loves filling his bike tires.
Cons, can’t vent if overfilled. Pretty loud for a small unit.
Replaced my Ryobi One+ that didn’t last a year. Blows it away. Love the digital setting and auto stop. It would get 5 stars if the screw on nozzle was more flexible/bendable. It was a pain to position it on our mini bikes and wagon. However, once on position, the nozzle screws on and off very easily with minimal air loss. It is a breeze on everything that has plenty of access. Hence the conflicting pros and cons above.
The size, power, quality are great, but some basic design flaws cause recurring annoyance. First and foremost, especially because I purchased this to pump bike tires, I don't want to have to screw the nipple onto the valve every time I use it. I want to press, hold and release when full. Even a nipple lock would be satisfactory. Secondly, most of our bikes use a Presta valve. The adapter included is cheap plastic and with almost every inflation, the rubber o ring comes out or gets mangled. Finally, every time you turn the power button on, the desired pressure setting resets to 0. That is ridiculous and lazy as far as the developers are concerned in that they don't want to take the time to develop a little energy store (like a cap or something) to retain power to the pcb. Other than these issues, it's a great little machine.
After the sudden temperature change from -24 to 55 degrees, all the tires on both of my vehicles lost air. The inflator pumped up all 8 tires with no problem and with plenty of battery power left. 2 of the tires only had 5 lbs of air in them! I am very impressed with the unit.
Have used Milwaukee tools for a very long time, but I really love their cordless line. Have used other cordless brands, but they keep changing battery voltages so newer tools means more batteries...hate that. The M12 line is lightweight and very powerful for lightweight tools. The inflator performs very well, and the digital display makes using it a breeze. Compact and easily stored. Their is some noise, but I didn't buy it to blow up inflatable dolls, and I really like the ability to set the pressure and leave it until you hear it reach the setting and disconnect the hose....DONE
If you have any type of tires to fill or toys to inflate set it and forget it. Easiest way i know of to get all 4 tires within 1 psi in less than 10 minutes. install a battery, set the pressure, connect it to the valve stem and let it run. Once it stops the set pressure is displayed no fuss no muss. I check it against the TPI in a 2018 vehicle and after they normalized all tires were at the same pressure. Also used it to charge a water pressure tank, set it to the boiler pressure and let iot do the work.
