Can't go wrong
Good instructions on how to use the instrument. Does all that is advertised. Very sturdy and built well. A little pricey though.

Quick time saving tool!
This tester works great. Its very handy and simple to use. You can easily test fluorescent tubes & ballasts without taking them down. I wish the telescopic probe were a little longer but accessing fixtures with 10 foot ceilings is fine. 12 foot or higher ceilings you may need a step stool. If you have a bunch of spare tubes and want to test them, its as simple as touch the probe to the tube and push the Test Button, then a good tube lights up, a dead bulb doesn't. Huge time saver. I highly recommend this tool.

Great Idea
Does not work with all lamps and ballasts. Great idea, but needs refinement. Milwaukee needs to spend more time testing their numerous new products.

Fantastic tool!
I am a general contractor doing remodeling both residential and commercial and a lot of maintenance. This tool will be with me all the time now, isn't just a great tool, but I must have it in my truck. The first week I had it I tested over 100 tubes and 50 ballasts. I have used it almost every day since I got it a couple weeks ago! It saves you the time of putting up new tubes just to realize that you have to change the ballast, but it can help sell new/ preventative work by detecting failing lights and ballasts. I get paid to fix a light, not by the hour, so it saves me time and makes me more money. At an organization I do maintenance for, it helped me in 15 minutes go through about 50 tubes and determine which were good and which should be recycled appropriately. This tool gets my highest recommendation.
