Workhorse
I have been using this for mortising timbers with a 2" self-feed bit. This drill has all of the power necessary to efficiently do the job.

This is a major work horse.
I bought this product to mix mortar, dry wall mud, and plaster. Its compact and has a huge amount of torque. The pipe handle can be moved to accomodate left or right handed operators. It allows you mix the material on low 300 RPM then smooth it out at 1,300. Best mud and mortar mixer you can find. Pay attention or that pipe handle will come around and smack your dumb head.

Sheared spindle
I've had my Hole Hawg since 1991 and as a home owner don't use it all that often when just recently during a routine drilling operation the spindle that the chuck is attached to just sheared off. What good is all that power if the spindle can't handle it? I have yet to find a replacement part or for that matter how to get the now free spinning chuck off.

Good shape for reconditioned tool
This was a good deal. The tool showed extremely little use for being reconditioned. you can't beat the price.

How to ship a Milwaukee Hole Hawg
I've used this tool before, so I knew what I was getting. It takes a drill like this to put big holes in big wooden beams and posts.
The thing that surprised me was the shipping. I've seen 5 year olds that could pack something better. Find a big box; throw the tool in the bottom: Fill up the rest of the box with packing and put it on a truck. The drill itself had no protection other than the thickness of the cardboard box because that's where it was when I opened the box. It would have been much better to use a smaller box and wrap tool in newspaper or something that didn't just sift to the top and leave the tool laying on the bottom
Will have to compliment you on speed of delivery though.

Relocating the Laundry Room
Bought this drill to install the Plumbing and Electrical for our new laundry room on the 2nd floor of our antique home. It cuts through 2 bys with a 3" hole saw like buttah! I'll own this drill for the rest of my life, I can't believe I waited so long to get one. After 20 holes, it has paid for itself in time alone.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 120 days.
