Makita Medium Tool Case
It's a bit pricey but showing up to a customer with all of my tools in a clean, stack-able cases pays for itself. The better the first impression, the less worrying the customer does.

OK design, super thin execution. Very cheap feeling.
I am a disaster resolution tech. Take my tools wherever I go. These boxes are handy but the latches are super hard to use and don't function well. The bottom and walls are surprisingly thin and I don't expect them to last long. Not nearly the same durability as the dewalt system.

Finally a great toolbox that is easy to store.
I had just replaced all of my battery operated tools with Makita tools. The cloth bag on wheels was nice but not acceptable. There was nothing protecting the tools but a piece of cloth. These new tool boxes are perfect! They are so nice, I purchased 4 of them. The XL works great for saws and bigger things, the medium for drills, and the Large for everything else. Now all my Makita tools are protected and easy to lift or I can clip them together easily and move them with a dolly. Storage space is also great since they stack and will not slide off each other. I may get more for my other tools.

Do these cases come with the foam insert or are they only purchased separately?
Nomocon on Jul 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They don't come with the foam, and the ones they specifically sell for them are expensive. I measured the inside and found some pick and pull foam for a larger case of some kind on EBay . The width was the same as the precut ones but twice as long so I was able to get two pieces out of each, it was also thicker than the precut foam. It was a three pack for $30 or so shipped. Six inserts for half the price, just a bit of work.

Which tool case would be the best to store the 9903 belt sander. I'm thinking about purchasing the sander & would like to have an appropriate tool case.
Bob on Nov 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Makita 197211-7 would be a good case to carry the 9903 belt sander, your biggest concern is going to be the length, since both items are 11.625in long
