BEST ANSWER: CPO no longer retails the 18v Ni-MH tools.
I have a Makita battery with this model number on it B1834 is this the same as this model battery as 193159-1?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, that unit will be a direct replacement.
can I use this battery in place of my 14.4v? Same style pod type.

BEST ANSWER: No, it is not recommended to use a different voltage battery. If the tool is rated for 14.4Volts, you cannot use a 18V battery.
