Karcher Pressure Washers
In 1935, Alfred Karcher, a German engineer, founded a company to develop heating technology. The company later transitioned into creating products to meet people’s daily needs, one of which was cleaning solutions. In 1950 Karcher made its breakthrough in cleaning technology with the development of Europe’s first hot-water pressure washer. The method used for heating the water proved so successful that it still serves as the basis for burners today.
By the 1970’s Karcher began to concentrate on high pressure cleaning and a decade later introduced their first portable pressure washer, making the technology available to consumers. Karcher eventually expanded its product line to include more indoor and outdoor cleaning products including wet/dry vacuums, car washing systems, steam cleaners, cleaning agents, watering pumps, drainage and more.
Today Karcher is a leading manufacturer of pressure washers and other cleaning technologies. Karcher offers a wide selection of pressure washers to suite a variety of end users, whether the application is washing a vehicle or removing graffiti. Choices range from gas powered or electric units that feature a variety of PSI and water temperature capabilities.
