So far, so great
Can't not love just popping in a battery and be ready to go. With chain being new, first use (approximately 10 cuts of 12-14" diameter rounds of a fallen gum tree) was quick and smooth. Plenty of power. Initial thoughts are saw will be more than sufficient for occasional homeowner use.

Good chainsaw.
Chainsaw works as expected. When not in use it leaks oil but the Instructions say it will leak oil. Guess I'll have to empty oil between uses.

Best and most powerful chain saw I have ever used.
Most powerful chainsaw I have ever used. Very quiet and the battery with a full charge seems to last a very long time. Very easy to handle and cuts like a hot knife through butter Write your review here. It must be at least 20 characters long. This is an excellent chainsaw. Very easy to use, it was shipped already put together. I love all the greenworks products. I had the 80v weedeater prior to this purchase So I can use the same battery for both products.
I am able to use this for about 4 hours to cut as I clean up around a pond. Haven’t run out of battery using it yet.

Works great. Battery run time is not an issue.
Works great overall. Blade teeth jammed on live lumber over 15" thick logs but no problems with any thing less.

GreenWorks Pro 18 inch chainsaw
The first day I got my chainsaw I cut four 6" diameter fence posts and eight 2" diameter fence tighteners out of old hedge trees and only reduced the battery capacity by one third. So much more convenient than messing with gas, oil and hard starting; just grab and go and cut.

Great saw with one issue chain oil leaks out the bottom
I just bought this saw about a month ago and used it for the first time 2 weeks ago. The saw performs great. It cut through everything I tried to. The only issue is the chain oil leaks out of the bottom of the saw and leaves puddles of oil where ever it stays. Other than this issue the saw is great. I would also recommend a second battery if you are going to be using the saw for a while so you can charge one while using the other one.

Could I use a kobalt 80v battery in this chainsaw?

BEST ANSWER: I believe the battery is exactly the same except for the blue color.Enter an answer to this question.
Where do I get the battery & charger?
Jerry on Apr 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Jerry,
If you wanted this saw and you don't already have another tool with the right battery and charger then I would recommend buying a complete tool package as it is more cost effective.
The reconditioned battery alone is $120.

I bought the bare tool as I already had the snow thrower and the string trimmer as complete tool packages so I had 2 batteries and 2 chargers already. I actually bought the string trimmer as a package in part to get a second battery as the trimmer and snow blower wouldn't likely be used in the same day anyway.

Does it include a battery and charger?
A shopper on May 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No just the bare tool.Enter an answer to this question.
What is involved in "servicing" this chainsaw....just chain sharpening or chain replacement as needed? Easy to do?
Hillbonnie (vs. Hillbilly) on May 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, since this is a cordless unit. The only replaceable part would be the chainsaw blade, which only requires adjustment at the chain tensioner
How much for battery/charger for 18 in chainsaw? Does a chain come with the "basic tool"?
