I looked at several mobile bases and chose the General Intl. model because it didn't require any stooping to change between mobile and stable states. I ordered and promptly received 2 General Intl. mobile bases from Tyler Tool. I sized and assembled one for my Rigid 6" jointer/planer and one for my table saw. The instructions were clear and assembly went fast. No missing parts. My shop is only 16' square and everything cannot be fully accessible all at the same time. These bases allow me to quickly position a machine into an open working space and easily tuck it away when unneeded. I'm retired and generally alone in my shop - moving a 200-400 pound stationary machine by oneself is not an easy task. These bases are a life saver. Unfortunately, my old Delta contractor saw bit the dust a few days ago and I'm waiting on delivery of a much heavier upgrade. No problem, the mobile base is rated for a far heavier load and will only require resizing for the new saw footprint. I will soon be ordering 3 more bases to mobilize my band saw, router table, and sander/mortising table. These bases make my little shop as useful as one twice its area and for far cheaper than the thousand$ required to build such an addition. These would be great to roll out machines from a garage to a driveway as well.
