The saw itself, once running, seems to be fine
So, at this point I have no issue with the saw itself. I've used it once not and it seemed to work pretty well for light to medium work around the house and I could extend that to a farm, homestead, etc for relatively light to medium duty stuff on occasional use. I have not had it long enough to speak towards its longevity.

But, in ordering it from CPO I thought that it should tuned well enough to begin using it directly out of the box. I understand I would have to assemble some of it (bar, chain, oil, gas, etc) but the engine was not tuned to allow it to properly run. I had to take it to a local small engine shop prior to being able to use the saw.
They stated the the carburetor needed adjustment because it was running very "rich" and therefore allowing too much air into the engine and it would not stay cranked when initiating the saw trigger.

But other than that overall it seems to be high quality saw, easy to set up, for a good value. Ideal for homeowners needing medium duty, and definitely some use around a farm, homestead etc.
Maybe more, but I have not tested the saw's limits yet.

If I needed another saw at this time I would buy another one like this one without hesitating.
I’m very pleased with this saw. It’s a real workhorse. The only reason I didn’t rate it a 5 star is because I had to tweak the carb on the low end for it to accelerate properly. Otherwise I’d rate it a 5. It starts within 2-3 tries when cold and within 1-2 tries when warm. The saw does requires priming whether cold or warm before each start.

Works Nicely!!
Fast shipping, well packed, looked new. Starts easily hot or cold. The grease fitting for nose sprocket has been omitted, apparently, chain oil is sufficient lub. My 5-star rating is based on replacing anti-kickback style chain with Oregon # OCS 20LPX072G The factory equipped "safety" style chain I would give a 1-star rating. With a good, old-fashioned style chain I'm very pleased with the saw!!

CPO is the Best
We lost our last trimming Husky because some one borrowed it without asking and CPO had this one. Saved 175.00 I started the second pull, and it runs 15 hours a week. Can't be happier with the Company. Now if only the would put me on the Christmas List and send us on a Vacation, that would make us love them more. This is not our first tool with theses guys and won't be the last.

AWESOME,AWESOME DEAL
So as with most reconditioned tools, I was more than a bit sceptical, but when it arrived in the mail I was hooked. So the one I received did not have a scratch on it, fired first pull, It's going to make a great addition to my woodworking collection.

I think for the money it is a good deal
The saw arrived on time and look in great condition. But after filling it with gas and oil it would not start, and yes I read the directions. Only after changing the spark plug did it start. You would think with a factory recondition saw the spark plug would be the first thing they replace. I did come with a new chain

Does this saw have the no tool chain tensioner like the specs say or is it the style tensioner in the picture?
Badger on Jan 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Badger,
You have to use the screw driver rench combination to adjust the chain. All these saws have starting issues and bad power heads. I'm a 48 year old gear head with two engineering degrees and i could not get the saw to start. The saw I got had a crcaked power head and was leaking fueloil mix out if the bottom of the saw.

can this come with a 20" bar and chain? Is it strong enough for larger trees?
Ed on Mar 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, this item comes with the 18-in bar and chain, which is the maximum bar and chain that can go on this model. This chainsaw will cut large trees.
The title says this is 18" but the specs say 16". What is the bar length?
jim on Sep 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: That is an 18 inch saw.
Hi, the listing for this saw says it has a 3/8" pitch chain. Is this statement true? Why I ask is, the saw I'm replacing is 3/8 pitch and I have a bunch of nearly new chains. The Husquvarna website lists this(and most of their saws) as a .325" pitch blade. If this saw is the right(3/8) pitch I want one.

Please let me know the chain pitch used on this model saw. Thank you for your answer.
Packrat on Aug 11, 2014
BEST ANSWER: .325" comes out to 13/40. that is 1/20 smaller than 3/8. A 3/8 pitch chain will work with this chainsaw
