EZ installation. Performing as advertised.
Was pleasantly surprised with no issues during installation.
Directions EZ to follow. Measured L1-L2 line voltages on power up, and turned on hot water, with temp. set to 100 deg.f Slow to bring water temp up at faucet 50ft from heater on 3/4 in line. Increased temp to 120f and water comes up to temp in a minute or so. Should pay for itself with lower electric bills in a year's time.

Cut power bill almost in half
My house is all electric, so large electric bill is common. I went from an 80 gallon quick recover (5500 volt) hot water tank, to an ECO 27k on demand. I was nervous as to what my bill would be. In Dec 2015 electric bill $462.29. In Dec 2016 used the new ECO 27k all month my bill was 291.01. The months were very similar weather wise. I would recommend this water heater to anyone. I would have purchased an ECO 30k but I only had a 200 AMP service.

Grat Value!
I have a great deal of electrical and plumbing knowledge, therefore, it was very easy to install. I think that anyone who can follow instructrions, should be able to do this with relative ease.

Don't let the price fool you.
I use this model EcoSmart 27 kW 240V Electric Tankless as a whole house water heater. I live in western Washington, so the temperature here doesn't get much lower than about 25 deg F and input water temp is about 50-55 deg F year round. This unit replaced my bosch AE 125, which was a good unit, that I have had for 8.5 years. It is less expensive than the bosch and seems to work better in several ways, it has a very stable temperature output, 2 showers can be taken at the same time, which together run approximatly 3.5 gpm. temperature adjustment has a digital reading and is accurate at 125 deg F. the hookups were similar to the bosch AE 125, so installation was easy. I have only had this unit for a 3 weeks, but so far excellent. No Cons, I will never go back to a tank type system.

Best I have seen
Installed in one day using .5 PEX. Takes 3 40amp breakers with 8ga wire that was real fun to run. But OMG it was worth it. This unit replaced another unit that could not handle winter water temps. Best advice I can give is you pay for what you get. Could have saved $300 by going with this unit first. Oh yeah you will notice lower electric bills if your moving from a tank water heater, like a lot if it a old one.

BEST ANSWER: This model has a lifetime warranty, however it is only valid if you hired licensed installers for the plumbing and electrical connections.
My home uses 120V. Can my home support this unit since it says 240V? Thank you!
Greg on Sep 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: While home outlets are mostly 120 volt, most home's main electrical panel actually have two hot connections, each one being separate 120v circuits from your utility in split phase. When you combine both hot connections in the panel using a double pole breaker and two live wires to the appliance, that is how you achieve 240 Volt connections. Any electrician should be able to look at your service panel and instantly tell you if you can support 240 volt connections.
can I use the same plug in service that my 40 gal water heater uses
Kookie on Aug 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, this model of tankless water heater requires a total of THREE separate 40 amp 240 volt connections. You must install three separate double pole 40 amp circuit breakers and you must install three separate sets of wiring using 8 gauge copper wire. This unit consumes a maximum of 112.5 amps on full power and should only be used on homes that have a service entrance of at least 200 amps.
if you have hard water and no softner can i run white vinegar thew it to flush out the lime
Rick on Oct 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can and should to keep the unit in good working order. You must install a proper "Tankless Water Heater Service Valve Kit" so that you can isolate the water heater from your home plumbing while running vinegar through the service ports on the valves.
I have a somewhat damp (not wet) basement, which seems to have reduced the longevity of my water heaters with tanks. Would a tankless system be a better choice in this case?
