Nice straight cuts
I bought this saw a couple months ago to help get straight cuts on full sheets of plywood by myself without holding the table saw and the wood at the same time. It has worked perfectly and makes it a breeze to square up tabletops and counter tops.

This saw using as great as I expected
My first saw arrived in a beat up box. The case that Dewalt gives you with the saw is a disappointiment. The saw isn't very secure in the case. The base of the saw rocked on the track , so I set the saw on my work bench and the base of the saw still rocked. The base was racked in shipping, and the saw wasn't where it was meant to be in the case. Next the saw blade had a sticker on it that I didn't notice that needs to be cleaned off. This made additional drag on the blade. The bar that you use to tie tracks together is sloppy in the track, and I needed to use a straight edge to make sure the track was straight. My miter rips had a slight inconsistency in them. The spring that returns the saw up from the plunge cut is heavy, and if your not paying attention to holding pressure down on the saw it will drift up on a cut. Lastly it took a bit of effort to push the saw through a cut. This is a combersom saw to run.

Dewalt Track Saw
So far so good. Love the safety features. Feels good in my hands. Though I've only used the festool a number of times I find them to be quite comparable. The main difference is the plunge action. The way the dewalt plunges tends to make you want to push forward into the cut rather than down.

A lot of people say they would like longer rails than the options dewalt gives and I agree. Other than that it's a fantastic tool.

its like havfing a panel saw in the shop
i build and restore antique furniture. The woods that I secure are from very old buildings and houses . Cuts must be precise. Many boards are 11" or wider which require more accuracy than what you can get with a circular saw. This saw is perfect for glued up panels and solid wood. The accuracy is outstanding. The saw and guide is easuy to set up and the plunge cutting cabability enable you to make cuts within the lenght of a panel or board.

Great piece of kit !
Ive had one of these saws now for about four years and am a proffesional builder. It has been such a help , brilliant saw. Worth every penny.
However, the depth stop being plastic has worn and the saw then can plunge to full depth which is less than helpful.
I have drilled countersunk holes for screws in the track so I can screw the track to vertical surfaces on walls which has been a good idea.
ps dont cut the long track down to 2400mm as I did thinking that as board sheets come at 2400 why have it longer.
Leave it alone at about 2600mm and have the overhang at the starting end as the saw needs to sit on it .

I looked at multiple brands of track saws. This is a good track saw system for the money with nice features and great accuracy.
Festool is good but WAY OVERPRICED!
I wish they made this saw 20 years ago!

This saw comes in a "FAR SECOND" to the Festool track saw. No wonder the Cordless version of this saw has already been discontinued by Dewalt!!!
