Critical tool for small carpentry shop
I have just completed remodeling my kitchen including a new peninsula and custom built cabinets using the Dewalt Track Saw. See pictures for results. The plywood mitered corners are so tight that an experienced wood carver insisted I had carved the corners from solid stock until I showed him the joinery inside the cabinets. My shop is only 10'x12'. Both the 59" and the 102" tracks are needed. Two joined 59" tracks are less accurate and too long for my shop.

Great tool, good table saw alternative
Not cheap but much more versatile than a table saw. Very easy to use with a quality cut and easy to set up. The tracks can be somewhat bulky but they are easy to setup.

Great value for price
Considered Dewalt, Makita and Festool for over 3 months. Read all the reviews for each. I don't cut a large amount of sheet goods, so price was very important. Now that I've used the Dewalt, I'm glad I wasn't swayed by the Euro design appeal of the Festool. My Dewalt couldn't work better. CPO was very responsive to an initial glitch in sending a reconditioned product, and got back to me with a new one quickly.

Not bad at all
Saw with tracks came well packaged. The tracks were NOT warped or bent. Adjusting saw blade to shoe is a pain in the butt to get it perfectly at 90 degree. The saw motion takes some getting use to. Shop vac worked nicely with the saw and eliminated most of the dust. Cannot cut MDF board without clamps as the track will move. Ordered the clamps which made life much easier. Although I have a great many clamps none would hold the track as the saw shoe takes up the whole track. Was able to cut a piece 36" x 36" square where one diagonal is about 1/128th longer than the other diagonal using the track cut strip as the guide. Haven't cut plywood yet so don't know the extent of tear out. I would give it 4.75 stars

Cutting like a champ!
Great saw and much less than the Festool. It is really quiet and accurate with a powerful motor so I can move quickly. It comes with a box but that was unclear in the item description so I was surprised. The clamps are a must but also worth the money.

high quality tool sold by quality dealer
I had the festool and returned it, this is a better design. It's easier to use and the accessories are more affordable. I have used it to cut hard maple an inch thick, no problems. CPO is the first place I look for tools, all the purchases have been great.

Works Great
The saw and tracks came promptly and well-packaged and were easy to setup. I did not worry about cutting the last 2 " or so of rubber on the tracks as it is not really needed anyhow. I agree with others that a center guide would be helpful. However, the tracks are long enough for 48" material while keeping both guides on the track. I have not used the longer one yet, but do not foresee any problems cutting 8' material. This is much quicker for cutting sheets than the old way of measuring for the straight edge position and then scoring the plywood along the cut line and finally making the cut. With the track saw simply position the edge on the cut line and make the cut as there is very minimal tear out.

My best purchase to date
I've been looking at track saws for some time now and finally decided on the Dewalt and got both track lengths as well as the clamps. I'm glad I got the clamps as I had some 4' x 8' x 1/4" lauan plywood to cut both along the 8' length as well as the 4' and the clamps really helped with such floppy wood. The clamps helped keep the wood from bowing and allowed me to make perfectly straight cuts. When working alone this is an especially useful wood cutting tool. I should have bought this sooner but it will get a bunch of use now.

Plunge Me
Very well packaged, the tracks came in hardboard boxes. All arrived in great order, saw case could have had a better foam block inside to hold saw in place. Great instruction card inside case. The blade cut very true and no splinters. I put down a 1" sheet of house foam, set the depth to a hair over 1/2" and put 1/2" ply down on foam. This saw screams plunge me. Very well designed. This is very portable, and no more lugging big sheets of ply up to table saw.. Great.

How do. You secure the track? When cutting plywood
Thomas 1790 on Apr 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The track doesn't slip around, so often people will put light pressure and cut without clamping it down. Alternatively, there are clamps that can be purchased to work with the track. They slip into a channel on the underside of the track and hold it firmly to what you are cutting. They do work great and I recommend purchasing a pair when you invest in the track saw.
