Comfortable and extremely secure
It seems like this utility knife is extremely well made. I've taken it on a few jobs and find myself picking this one over the others. Overall it fits my had perfectly, I like the fact that I feel I have more control and stability while cutting. This came in handy for a small vinyl floor install i used it multiple time cutting vinyl and didn't need a blade change. If this product reflects the quality and durability of your other products you guys are due to have continued customer satisfaction.

Perfect grip!
Used this knife in a different areas such a paint, carpentry and drywall. Overall in drywall job works just amazing the grip gives you and extra comfort and super firm. I wish it has a hook at the end back of the knife so you can hook it up in your jeans.
The extra storage for the blades it’s super useful at a work time, would love to see an automatic loader like other de Walt knifes styles.

Love it!!!
I've had this knife for a few years now and it's the best I've used by far. The changing of the blade is QUICK and simple. Plus, it holds extra new blades for you right in the handle so I don't have to dig through my tool bucket, box, or anything to find my new blades. I don't have to stop doing whatever I'm doing. Saves time and time is money.

Holds up well in commercial roofing
I use these all the time as a commercial roofer. They are very comfortable with gloves on in the winter time. Can survive falls off the roof too, not a residential house, a five plus story building.

Like the features, but ....
OK. It is well made. Feels comfortable and substantial when using. But for crying out how about a video on changing/inserting blades? Seriously, I am going to forget when I next go to change a blade and spend ten minutes trying to re-figure it out.

No instructions make this knife useless
There are no instructions at all with this seemingly sturdy knife. How do you change a blade? No idea, not intuitive. I shouldn’t have to hunt online to try to figure this out - I needed it on a job site and there was no WiFi. I want to like it but I haven’t been able to use it at alll.

How do I install the blade properly on the dwht10046?
jt on Mar 1, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Slide the blade button on top all the way forward. Press the black button on the side of the knife in and load the blade in from the front of the knife. When the blade is in at the proper depth and you release the black button it will lock in place. Worked first time. You do not have to open the knife with an allen wrench as noted in the other response.
