Dewalt DCN692M1 20V MAX XR Dual Speed Framing Nailer Kit

DEWALT delivers outstanding performance with the launch of the world's first gas-free, dual-speed, cordless framing nailer. The new DCN692M1 20V MAX Cordless Lithium-Ion Framing Nailer joins DEWALT's line of 20V MAX cordless power tools with extended runtime (XR) technology and provides a gas-free option for users eliminating the need for costly gas canisters. The DCN692M1 requires minimal maintenance, and works in cold weather where gas cartridges fail. The framing nailer requires no user-applied lubrication and is engineered with a high-efficiency brushless motor for superior durability. DEWALT's brushless motor paired with the XR 20V MAX 4.0 Ah lithium-ion battery pack allows driving up to 700 nails per charge, making it ideal for heavy duty carpentry and framing professionals, such as general builders, remodelers, and installers of decks and fencing.
  • Engineered with a high-efficiency brushless motor for superior durability
  • Drives up to 700 nails per charge on a fully-charged 20V MAX Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah battery pack
  • Can be used with 30 to 34 degree clipped and round-offset head, paper tape collated nails from a variety of brands
  • Dual-speed settings optimized for different nail lengths to match speed and power to drive nails consistently similar to a pneumatic nailer
  • Indicator lights that warn the user of a low-battery or stall, with a stall release lever that allows the user to reset the driver blade caused by a stall or jammed nail
  • Sequential and bump-fire driving modes for user preference
  • Nail depth adjustment control for maximum control with varying materials

Game Changer!
So I've had this framing nailer for about 3 weeks now. I've been using it on a house I've been remodeling and wow is this thing sweet! The first thing I noticed when I first took it out of box was the weight. Its noticeably heavier than my pneumatic framing nailer, that being said I had to get used to it very quick. The thing I absolutely love about this nailer is that its CORDLESS! The home I'm remodeling is three stories high so being able to run up and down the stairs without hauling a compressor around is awesome! I was very impressed with the power, it drives nails however deep you need it to. In the 3 weeks I've been using it I haven't had a stall yet, AWESOME TOOL.

Excellent Nailer with Power and Reliability!
I received this a couple weeks ago and was able to use it on a medium sized framing job with my crew. The power and consistency of the nailer was very impressive and felt like a normal pneumatic nailer. The slight weight increase was definitely a trade off, but not having the hose attached was a major plus!

I recently bought this nailer and I love it. The convenience of having a battery framing nailer with a ton of power is great! This gun is a beast!

Jam problems
This product randomly jams. I would estimate that it jams every 100 nails. I am rather surprised DeWalt, with the Great reputation they have, released a tool this flawed. Since it jams on a regular basis, I believe this product is overpriced. On the positive note, it is really nice when it does work.

Love cordless
I've had other brands of framing nailers, colored orange. Absolutely love them too. But, those fuel cells get pretty expensive tallied at end of year. The Dewalt gun is a bit heavier than the orange ones but in the end I like to save money. Place your battery in the tool and go. No fuel cell to contend with. As far as power, I believe this gun will give the other one a run for its money. It's a win-win situation for me as I have had a very positive experience with this tool and would definitely recommend it over other brands.
