I bought this set around a month ago to drive screws in the floor I was redoing at home. It worked like a charm and drove these screws effortlessly. I also used the impact driver frankly to pull the lug nuts off my truck and again it worked effortlessly. I was skeptical at first of buying the product because I knew it was their smaller equipment . Yet, since I have bought it they have become my go to tools. Very glad I bought it and look forward to more great products from DeWalt to come. Buying this has made me a lifetime DeWalt user now.
I bought this set last year for building cabinets and add to my workbench. They have been my go-to since. The lighter weight and smaller grip make it perfect for me to use. I've put a lot of miles on this little drill and impact driver in the last year, and they have held up well. Battery life is very impressive.
It's a great drill and impact driver combo. The battery goes for days and the light is a great addition. Its a great value for the price. Honestly, would have bought just the drill, but the price justified the impact driver combo. I used the impact driver to build a pantry and love it!
This drill set exceeded all my expectations. It has more power than all my previous drills and drivers that I’ve owned. The batteries last longer. They take their quality seriously by providing a reliable product. And most importantly I don’t feel over charged for purchasing this set. Thank you for providing a brand I can trust!
Only had it for 2 months but works great, feels great. This is more powerful than my last kit and much easier to handle. Does most all jobs with ease. Less fatigue, less stress. Will probably buy another kit for my Dad.
I have had this for about 2 months and I absolutely love it. I have used it almost every day. It fits in my every day tool bag, and I dont have to lug around all my 20v tools all the time. I do handyman work and this is my best investment yet.
I purchased this last year. My hobby is woodworking. I had (and still do the old 18 volt set. Very heavy and after using it for a while my arms and hands would cramp. The 12 volt max is fantastic. The batteries last and last. They are lightweight and I never have a problems with my arms or hands. The perfect set for the woodworker. Plenty of power and torque with batteries that last and lightweight too..
Every appliance repairman needs these drills! I have drilled out cooktop burners, cleaned dryer vents and disassembled all kinds of products with these. Great for where you need both precision and power. They have a long life and durability, and look great.
I have had dewalt drills and saws for as long as I can remember, they are great tools, these are great also. They have plenty of power and battery life. Really enjoy the impact driver for putting in deck screws or lag bolts. Thinking of getting another set for work.
Bought this set three months ago and has made my carry out bag for electrical trim out much lighter. I went from the 20v atomic series to the brushless 12v and it’s been a huge upgrade. The modes on the impact are great for electrical service calls and has enough power for a majority of your needs. If I where recommend anything dewalt I would recommend the 12v impact driver and the 20v brushless hammer drill. Only thing is that I wish they added the 12v hammer drill to this combo.
I've always been a fan of DeWalt tools since high school, where my woodworking instructor raved about them. These drills are great multipurpose tools and the fact that they are cordless makes them easy and practical to use. Great durability and torque, never stalls (only when torque I set was too low), easy to move, easy to use, batteries charge fast and life is long (I usually have to charge after 3 days of use).
I bought both the impact and drill, so I can pre-drill with a bit, and fasten using the impact driver, very fast process, than taking a bit out every screw. I'd recommend getting this kit, bc it includes both, batteries for both and a charger.
Personally, I am very proud to have had the common sense to inquire and ultimately purchase this awesome Xtreme combo. This is not nearly a revamping of the 12v line, it is a different animal in its own right. Just the right size and feel in the hand with an even balance to match, does not even cover it's most surprising feature; its Power! My hope and prayers lie with DeWalt expounding on a 12v Brushless line that captures the concise and energetic spirit embodied in my recently purchased Xtreme combo kit.
I bought a 12 volt drill/impact set in late 2010 and fell in love with the size & power of them. When this Extreme set came out I did not think twice about up-dating the old set. The old set is now on the work bench in the shop, still being used daily. This new set has handled anything we throw at them. The new 2ah battery(DCB122 with charge gauge is a very nice improvement. We use these in the electrical trade installing boxes, devices, covers and the occasional 2x4 blocks that comes along. These are a must have for anyone that needs an impact or drill in a mobile application. Well pleased, Lots of power. Will have on every truck!
Purchased this kit about a month ago and have not used my 20 volt max drill or impact driver since. As a residential remodeled these little gems have more than enough power for 90% of my tasks. I haven’t yet tried to cut a 1” or 1.5” hole saw in the drill yet, but I was able to hang a 55” TV into metal studs with this kit no problem.
The drill is good quality and the impact is great. They’re lightweight and powerful enough for most jobs. The batteries have good life also. I like the electronic controls on the impact and the nice clutch settings on the drill. Overall they’re designed well and should last a longtime.
I have had these set for about three years and cannot be happier. I originally purchased it to work around our new condo and fix little things here and there. Forward three years later we are on our second home, this time a single family home. I can work with one battery fully charge for long periods of time takling multiple projects while the other battery is charging. I had different brad tools before but now I only buy DeWalt. I have a saying now " If something needs fixing, let's fix it DeWalt way!
I had the last version, brushed. They are great and this is a huge improvement over the last model. Could not be happier with them. Just wish Dewalt would invest more into their 12v line. More 12v tools would mean I would buy more Dewalt.
Finally, a 12 volt compact drill and 1/4" impact driver with some muscle.
When working on most campers, space is minimal at best. These compact tools save the day when every inch counts. Also when installing numerous screws throughout the day, the lighter weight of these tools saves alot of muscle ache. The "adjustable " torque on the impact is also a plus.
