As good as everyone says
When I started looking for a rotary hammer drill, this product stood out based on the great reviews everyone gave it. I'm sure there are products that are better, but I doubt there are any better that are in this price range. It REALLY is a good as everyone says. So far, I've only used it to break through concrete slab in my house to install new plumbing, but it's performed exactly as I'd hoped. Really a solid tool.

DRILLING IN CONCRETE - BECOMES VERY HOT.
This is not my first and not the last tool. At each project, it is necessary to have. Based on the fact that Makita has risen in price, I chose Bosch. But I am concerned that after, about 20 minutes. drilling a concrete wall with a 5/8 drill beat, it warmed up like an iron and began to smell like overheated metal. We must assume that this is not the tool that can perform volume work. Even within promised specifications. It's a pity.

So far so good
Haven't used Bosch roto-hammer products for quite a few years when I used to do Industrial Electrical work. I recently purchased for my handyman/renovation business mostly for tile removal work as well as replacement of damaged/frozen water spigots on homes, where the 1 1/8" hammer drill bit will come into benefit, so we never have to hand chisel brick openings any longer to accommodate new frost free spigots we use. Just purchased a nice set of chisel tips and drill bits for this tool as well from Bosch.

This tool I purchased actually on a Black Friday special deal recently (at Lowes where they only had 6 for sale, which were not the normal Bosch 1" max hammerdrills they sell, and this would accommodate up to 1 1/8" SDS bit , a larger motor, plus was manufactured in Germany, and reason I decided to purchase it.

Nice hammer drill
I like the drill But sometime the trigger seem a little slow to respond. Other than that I like it. It’s less than a month old.

Strong to the finish.
The tough job of removing old ceramic tile was made easy compared to the hammer and chisel we started with. Since we had a fairly large area of excessive tile set to remove it took two days but the Bosch never quit.

Time and arm saver
Doing a kitchen remodel, have 200 square feet of ceramic 12X12 tile to tear up thats on a concrete slab. I first started with a cold chisel and a 3# sledge. After about 2 hours my and only about 25 tiles removed I had enough. I got this and some different flat and scraper chisels, literally I was taking up tiles in seconds, and even a tile that tried to fight me still only took 10 seconds maybe. Plus I wasn't having tiny pieces ricocheting all over the place, this did a tremendous job keeping the pieces from flying around, most of the pieces came up in big chunks, many the entire tile broke free. I thought initially its going to take forever to clean up the mastic but this tool with the scraper literally has my slab as smooth as marble. I would't believe I could get it so smooth in preparation of a wood floor. Tool never bound up, never overheated and was a joy to use. I like the tool free bit changes and the retractible hook that lays up against the handle can come in handy if you are on a ladder and need to set the tool down. Could not ask for anything more, saved my arm for sure and time, couldn't tell you how much time this has saved me and gotten my concrete slab perfectly smooth, you would never believe mastic and tile was down for 24 years..
