15 Amp 10 in. Dual-Bevel Glide Miter Saw - CMD10GD
I have had this saw for about 6 years now.i use it evey day. It's an awesome tool. Very accurate. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is I wish it had a lazer. The blade one bosch sell is not that great the batteries only last about 2 weeks for me. But I highly recommend this saw.
This is my first glide bevel saw. It took quite a while to learn all the modes of operation. While the manual was well written. I feel the instructional videos about each feature would be very helpful.
I have had this saw a week now and it is worth every penny. Smooth, accurate and really easy to operate.I particularly like the presets for crown moulding. The only minor glitch is the bevel control knob seems to have been damaged in transit and it came off when i went to use it. Also the Allen wrench for adjustment was missing. I have contacted customer support and await their response.
my son bought me the CM10GD as a replacement for a 17 year old Ridgid 12" compound miter saw that was losing the bearings in the gear/motor asembly (which is no longer made I was honestly a bit skeptical at first, but after he helped me get it set up and made the first couple of test cuts, I had my turn, I've built a couple odd sized door frames and picture frames. only thing We've done is replaced the blade with a Freud 90 tooth ultimate finish blade for the framing we do. Only ting I think could make it better is a second material clamp for better handling of long pieces.
I purchased one of these for my cabinet shop's install trailer. wow what a great miter saw. This thing cuts very smooth and is extremely accurate strait out of the box. But it is heavy, the extra weight is worth the value of the saw in my opinion and i will be buying more as the DeWalts break or have parts that can not be purchased anymore. Thanks Bosh for such a great miter saw, the best I have ever used in 17 years of business.
Love the saw. Was all set to buy the Jet but used someone’s Bosch saw on the site and liked it more. Works great and cuts clean with precision. The only problem is there is no laser site which you need for lining up cuts especially when attaching the saw to a work stand. Unsure why they did not add it but the saw is a beast and you will not be disappointed
This is hands down the best miter saw you can own!
I bought this saw at the 2017 Tampa Wodworking show because I was in need of an upgrade to the my current miter saw. I read many reviews prior to the purchase of this saw, and in the end, I made the perfect choice in this saw. I cannot recommend it enough! The accuracy is simply amazing right out of the box! If you are in the market for a sliding compound miter saw then stop your search! This is the saw for you and worth every penny of the price.
I have purchased two of these in the past 3 years and have had very good experiences. the glide arm is smooth and the cuts are precise. Occasionally an adjustment is necessary as with all tools but that is also a painless experience.
Bought this saw to a home shop saw. It is heavy but I plan to use this only in the shop. That being said, it's a great saw. Plenty of power with little or no side to side movement. It also saves me a lot of space with Axial arms.
I am an avid woodworker. Although not a professional, I have always enjoyed restoring old furniture and working on wood lathes. Part of the appeal of woodworking has always been figuring out a more efficient method and build process. Developing your own jig was often the mantra used by both my father and grandfather when they would build new projects. I would often shy away from the newest tool in favor of the old standard woodworking tools. I was always taught that a hammer, screwdriver, chisel, and hand plane were all the necessary tools needed.
Now that's out of the way. I feel like I'm betraying my heritage with this purchase. However, this is an exceptional tool in every way. The engineering is unbelievable. They have thought of so many ways that this tool can be utilized. Enough has been said about the smoothness of the articulating arm. The front miter and bevel controls are amazing. Although there is a bit of an initial setup, (the saw required squaring the blade to the bed) the adjustments are not difficult, but do require some precision. Do not skip this step. Once everything is square and lined up the cuts are amazing.
I am a believer in Bosch products. It was pricier than other saws in this class outside of the Jet saw. However, I expect that the build quality and details will ensure this saw last a long time.
This saw works great for trim, case, crown and even hardwood flooring! I have used one for custom work. I can precisely cut 2×4 framing and go all the way to the finest Finish work. I have worked flat on the floor and even up on a scaffol and the design of it gives you room to work with it closer to your work. If time is money, this saw will pay off!
I primarily use this saw for hardwood flooring. It has plenty of power to easily cut hickory, oak, ash, maple at all angles. The accuracy is spot on while doing casing, base and shoe. I love the Bosch glide design.
I received the CM10GD sliding dual bevel Sliding Miter saw a few days ago as a gift along with the Bosch Miter saw stand. Assembling the sturdy stand was very easy. The Miter Saw documentation was easy to follow and I had the saw in operation in a few minutes. A quick project was completed and the saw performed flawlessly.
The documentation mentioned about adjusting the miters and bevel scales, but when I checked these, there were accurately set right out of the box.
I am not a professional woodworker or carpenter and purchased the saw to assist me in building items for the house and garden. Up till now, I had only used a circular saw and a router for woodworking projects. I am just learning all the optional uses of this Miter Saw and am amazed at the versatility and accuracy of the device. The functionality and design exceeded my expectations.
I strongly recommend purchasing the Bosch Stand with the saw, it eases the transport and is rock solid once set up.
Use this saw for critical cuts, trim, and crown. Reconed by Bosh, can't tell it from new. Purchased good blade and gravity rise stand for it. Stand a great addition for storing the saw in a cramped shop. Saw is heavy to transport to and from site. Saw stand definately helps in makig the saw portable. Not so great is the comination of plastic and metal for some of the accessory cinches. Otherwise, an outstanding product, inovative design, and less than the "green" saw from Germany.
I have to be honest in saying that I haven't had the chance to actually cut any wood with this thing yet so I don't feel like I can give a very useful review, but I can tell you from just fiddling with it so far it seems very well made, sturdy, easy to use, ergonomic, and I love how you can use it up against the wall. I have a number of projects I'm excited to get started on and I think this thing will be a lot of fun to use. It wasn't cheap, but good tools never are.
I use this saw mainly as a chop saw for furniture building. This saw is heavy but has accurate stops. If the blade is not square out of the box, it takes a little while to set up since the adjustments are in the back. Very powerful motor, blade stops quickly after you release the trigger. Cuts are accurate and leaves a nice finish with no tear out. I mainly use it as a chop saw and have not done a lot of miter work. The glide arm is smooth and can be adjusted as to how much tension it takes to move the arm back and forth. Overall a very nice saw that in my opinion is best suited for a dedicated workshop due to it's weight and footprint. Transporting would be difficult but not impossible. I give it 4 stars only because it didn't come with table extensions and is a little difficult to square up the miter and bevel zero's initially. There is a lot you can do with this saw if you take the time to familiarize yourself with all the adjustments.
As with all my Bosch tools, this miter saw is a fantastic piece of equipment. They've managed to incorporate all the best features of a slider, without the rails. That is except for one detail... There is no incorporated laser guide. That's the one feature that had me closely looking at the Festool. But there was no way I could justify spending 1400.00 on a miter saw. I did manage to do the next best thing and purchased a LS010 laser that fits on the arbor. Not perfect, but it will have to make due. So there you have it, my one complaint! So if your looking for a first rate miter and cringe at the thought of putting out a fortune for a Festool, do yourself a favor and get the Bosch.
I purchased this saw after seeing it at the Woodworking Show in Atlanta. I had been looking for a new sliding miter saw for some time. When I saw the slide design and front adjusting features of the Bosch CM10GD, there was nothing more to think about. The show price was great as well. I would highly recommennd this product for the serious woodworker.
I am a sculptor using this saw for my artwork as well as side work. The saw cuts very well, needed little work to true out of the box, and can handle whatever I throw at it. The 10" of saved space behind it allows me to work around the machine in my small shop, and nullifies the chronic sawdust-cobweb-nether region I have always experienced behind larger, more bulky tools. A great buy if you have the money to spend on it - I think of this sort of tool as something I will use lightly, forever.
Been using this saw for awhile now and gotta say the guys at bosch sure did their homework. Really like the bevel adjustment at the front and the saw also work great with the Gravity Stand. Good job Bosch!!
I purchased this unit a week ago and overall I am very satisfied with it! Its quiet and very smooth to work with! The only problem I am having is the safety switch on the handle is hard to maneuver . Its a pricey saw but built to last! I also have the Table saw and also just purchased the Barrel Grip Jig saw.
