Q:What is the max thickness this machine will cut?
A:The maximum cutting thickness is 1-1/2".
Q:Is the blade long enough to cut through a 2x4? I didn't see anything that wide on any of the videos.
A:This is capable of cutting wood 1-1/2". The blade is 4" or less.
Q:How wide of a board can it rip?
A:Since this is a wall mount saw, you would be limited to the length of the board. The table is 17" long. The board would be stopped by the wall.
A:Actually, if you cut a piece of plywood (3/4 should be strong enough to support the Bladerunner) and secured the board in something like a Rockwell "jawhorse" to mount the Bladerunner you could cut a board of any length.
Q:What type and brand of replacement blades does it use?
A:The replacement blades are just t-shank jig saw blades. They are made by a wide array of companies, and can be easily found in any home improvement store.
A:You can use and brand of T-Shank Jigsaw Blades.
Q:Will this cut 45* bevels
A:Unfortunately, the BladeRunner does not do beveled cuts.
Q:Can the Bladerunner be used like a scroll saw?
A:Yes. The BladeRunner combines the characteristics a table saw, jigsaw, band saw and scroll saw all into one.
Q:thickness &type of metal the blade runner will cut?
A:The BladeRunner will cut most metals. Here are the recommended maximum thicknesses for cutting: 3/8-inch (aluminum), up to 1/8 inch (steel).
