This throat plate fit perfectly in my 2015 PM 2000 and its very high quality. CPO shipped it right away and like everything I've ordered from CPO, it arrives faster than I thought it would and is exactly as they describe.
The insert from powermatic is a very well made product and a great improvement over the insert that is supplied with the saw for 90 degree cuts. This cannot be used for angle cuts or you lose the zero clearance. That said, I also bought a Leecraft insert and it is also very well made and is significantly less cost.
Every Zero Clearance I've I ever bought was a blank piece of material precut into the shape of whatever saw you were buying for.
It was up to you to raise your blade through and cut the "slot".
This one came pre cut, I assume so you can use the riving knife and anti-kickback stuff. It defeats the purpose of a zero clearance insert. Thankfully the dust collection set up on the saw is so powerful and well designed that I'm OK.
