Comments about 33cc Gas 14 in. Rear Handle Chain Saw:

This product was shipped defective, so its obvious there is quality control lacking. The carburetor floods the machine from the get go, so it has not operated since receiving it now going on the 2nd week..

    Reconditionaed Poulan 3314 Chain Saw

Comments about 33cc Gas 14 in. Rear Handle Chain Saw:

A bit heavy for the ability. I bought this to replace a Homelite Top Handle 14" XL that withstood almost 30 years of moderate use (Amazes me, even!) that I used for one-hand in-tree use, limbing, small tree-felling, and carrying around in my floatplane in Alaska for cabin building and making firewood.
The Poulan is FAR heavier, yet no more competent, and due to it's rather tall profile, is difficult to get "in" through branches to de-limb fallen trees, and is fatiguing due to the extra weight. It also prefers to be used upright, and tends to die if used horizontally, even w/ a full tank of fuel.
The saw took considerable fiddling w/ jet settings to accelerate smoothly from idle to full power, and when set properly, still idles roughly (unlike the larger Poulan Farmhand (below) that idles very smoothly).
My "regular" saw is an older Poulan Farmhand 2900 2.8cu in (50cc) w/ 20" bar and chain that is a GREAT saw.
The Poulan 3314 w/ 14" bar surprisingly (sadly) feels no lighter than the H.D. Farmhand 2900.

One thing i have learned about 2 cycles: gas has to be fresh, oil has to be measured right and change the plug once a year.

Comments about 33cc Gas 14 in. Rear Handle Chain Saw:

This reconditioned saw is perfect for light to moderate residential tree work. This saw replaces a reconditioned Poulan Woodsman saw that I have used for 20+ years, so I'm confident that this one will be just as reliable. The ordering process was quick and easy, and delivery was unbelievably fast.
