I use my router a lot. Most of its uses are in conjunction with a Porter Cable router table. I have used this combination to make anything from kitchen cabinets to tongue and groove flooring. The only weakness in the system is the tightening latch which holds the router body in the table housing. This loosens at times and thus changes the height setting.

I bought a 6902 (non-lever release model) 20 years ago and it's still running strong. I alternate between the fixed and plunge base as needed and also use it on a router table. The router doesn't care what I ask it to do, it just keeps on working. It's a bit much for delicate work but I have a laminate trimmer for that. A dust collection option would be nice.

I use this router more than any other tool. I have owned it for 25 years and the only thing I have replaced is the gromet where cord goes into handle. we have used several lower priced machines and they have burnt out in about 4 mo. alsothis the most user freindly router I have ever used

This is a very good machine mid power router. The only reason I purchased this is my old one was stolen.
I use it regularly have dropped my old one a couple of timnes but no real problems.

I find myself making cabinets, tables and that type of thing. This router is simple and about the same size as my old craftman router, but has more power. Changing bits is a snap. It is heavier than my old one, but I have a feeling it will hold up for a long time

It would be nice if the shaft could be locked to make bit changes more easy. This is especially so when a collet is used for dovetailing.
