This is the perfect tool for scribing cabinets and trim to walls, floors and ceilings. It can easily be held in one hand and with a good belt on can quickly take off the material.
The belts are difficult to find locally, but the internet is a wonderful thing.
This reconditioned tool came in it's case, and upon opening there was a good bit of oil leaking from the sander. After cleaning it up and checking the tool, it ran like a gem and has been working all summer and into the fall as my go-to trim sander with no complaints.

This sander fills a niche in the belt sander market. It is small and there for meant for finish work and light duty stripping work. As one reviewer wrote it does get a little warm but I have not had any belt failures myself. I could see it getting pretty warm if used for a long time and or not using the correct grit belt. I bought this for finish work projects and it has been perfect fit between my other sanders!

This is a great sander if you use it for small jobs where the larger belt sanders don't fit. It works well and is powful but you must remember that it is for small jobs and does not take the place of a larger belt sander. I love the little one but it is hard to find the 2 1/2" x 14" belts.

I used this sander on a floor where my big floor sander wouldn't fit. It got so hot it melted the drive belt. CPO took it back and sent me another. It also gets hot just not hot enough to melt the belt. I was very disappointed with it. CPO would not take back the second one because they said it was not defective. I wish I had bought something else
