Comments about 7 Amp 1/2 in. Impact Wrench:

Bought this when preparing for an axle replacement task. This impact wrench made quick work of the lug nuts, strut bolts and big axle nut even without unstaking it. I've removed wheels all my life with the old cross lugnut wrench and this transformed the chore into a no-effort job. Having a corded tool without the need for a compressor or air hose is convenient. It is a fairly heavy tool which is expected for something with this much torque, but if I wanted something lighter, I'd get a weaker tool or use hand power.

Now for the little nits: The direction switch does get knocked back and forth inadvertently so just check each time before you pull the trigger. It does not have a clutch to stop the wrench when you release the trigger so it will keep spinning. Don't use this to tighten automotive bolts or lugnuts unless you don't mind really cranking them in there.

All in all, this is a great tool and CPO was a great vendor. The tool was shipped in its original box and doubled up with an outer box which was well packed and delivered promptly.

Comments about 7 Amp 1/2 in. Impact Wrench:

I tried to use a plumbers wrench to loosen rusted clean out plug on sewer drain. Hurt my back and still could not get it to budge. Ordered the electric plug in 1/2" impact wrench and quickly was able to get it removed with no pain or problem. Product is heavy but I expect that in a strong heavy duty item. Great power for an electric. Much more convenient for occasional use than buying air impact tool and compressor.

Comments about 7 Amp 1/2 in. Impact Wrench:

I was in the middle of changing my brakes and rotors. I got stuck on this 15mm bolt which I couldn't get undone not even with a 2 ton jack pushing up against a breaker bar. Of course I stopped before I broke the breaker bar or bolt. With out compressor I knew I was gonna need an electric impact. I'm not experienced with impact wrench's other than the few times I used the air ones with my dad when I was young. This is my first and only one and it did exactly what I needed it to do.

    New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
    • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
    • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
    • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
