Comments about 7 Amp 1/2 in. Impact Wrench:

I purchased this Milwaukee 9070-80 impact wrench to remove a 24mm crank bolt from the harmonic balancer,on a 2001 Buick, originally presumably factory torqued to 110 + 76 degrees as per buick 3800 engine specs. I purchased this over other electrics based upon number of positive reviews. Tool is rated at 300-350 ft/lbs (not in/lbs). Initially removed the 3/4" tire lug nuts (100-110 ft/lbs) with some resistance. Attacked the crank bolt but after 15minutes the bolt did not budge. Finally, very disappointed with this being the only thing preventing me from changing the crank position sensor as the original objective, against my better judgment and desperate, I was ultimately successful using the "car starter" method. Could not determine if it was a defect in the reconditioned, a misleading torque rating, or because of the size and age of the bolt set, whether it exceeded the tools torque rating.

            New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
            • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
            • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
            • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
