      Comments about 2-1/4 Max HP BodyGrip Router:

      I purchased this as a refurbished model to use in a Bosch router table and couldn't be happier with it. It arrived quickly, and looked brand new. I have owned it for several months now, used it at least 3 days per week, and it has performed flawlessly.

        Comments about 2-1/4 Max HP BodyGrip Router:

        Bought this and another smaller 1.75 HP Milwaukee to add to our collection of routers. I have been a Bosch man for over 20 years but have been disappointed with their recent models - they just don't make the Bosch like they used to. We had bought 3 Bosch routers in the last 3 years and all of them had bad switches (which they say they have resolved) and the adjustment system didn't work smoothly like ones made back in the '90's. So, their loss is Milwaukee's gain. After 2 weeks of hard use in router tables the Milwaukee's are running great. And we LOVE the adjustment system with the hex wrench from the top - very sweet.

              Comments about 2-1/4 Max HP BodyGrip Router:

              I don't switch tools often, I began switching primarily from B&D to Milwaukee 15 years ago with an electric drill. With this purchase, my shop is now almost exclusively equipped with Milwaukee products. I've a large list of outside get done projects, I haven't had the opportunity to set this router to wood yet, but after toying with an old used B&D I bought at auction 30+ years ago, I am well satisfied I chose to replace it with my first new one, a dream come true, and give the old B&D a Heave Ho. I've checked it out, started it up, liked the feel, easy adjustment and visibility of the work area. In short, there's no comparison! I'm confident the new cupboards I'll build with it, will be done easier, quicker, and hopefully with better results. I'll be happy to recommend one to a friend, but it's more likely he'd rather borrow mine.

              Comments about 2-1/4 Max HP BodyGrip Router:

              I was replacing an old Ryobi I burnt out doing raised panels in white oak. I still have two 1-3/4 PC routers, and wanted something more powerful. The only issue I can see that might concern some is the overload circuit. While cutting the raised panels with a 3-1/4" bit, the motor cut out several times. However, that sure beats burning one up...so I can live with that. My white oak is some old stuff from up New York way, and it is heavy and hard! The Milwaukee still has good old fashioned quality as far as I can see, unlike many of the other name brands these days. This is my third Milwaukee power tool, and I'm proud to own each one.

                    No, Milwaukee does not currently make tables for any of their routers. There are many other companies though that do make tables to use.

                  I have read several reviews that state the switch on the Model MILN5616-20 has a problem with saw dust collecting in the on/off switch. Has this issue been addressed or is this still a problem. I am considering purchasing this router but I have concerns about this issue.

                    Some units have experienced problems with dust collecting in the switch, those units have been fixed under warranty. Unfortunately this has not been addressed..

                New Vs. Reconditioned

                Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.

                • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
                • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
                • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee;
                  New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
