          Comments about 1/2 in. Dual Speed Hammer Drill with Case:

          [...] the touch-up paint was a little sloppy with some major scratches on the chuck. Not concered about this reconditioned hammer/drill, would get this dirty and scratches in a few months. At the same time I also ordered the Milk super sawzall, the maxed version, and this "Reconditioned" saw came as new and with the new tool smell in the plastic case was overwhelming. Drill from Germany and Saw from USA, doesn't get much better. Getem now [*]. As a previous Construction Guy these tools LAST and with spare parts available this is a unique opportunity to buy an "artists' tool". At about half the price these Milwaukee tools are a real deal and will last a lifetime. Would be a great Christmas gift, however the drill would be a disappointing gift because of the used condition.

                A:

                No, standard drill bits cannot be used on the SDS hammer. There is an adapter. It is to convert a spline to SDS and SDS Plus. The model number is 48-03-3015.

            New Vs. Reconditioned

            Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.

            • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
            • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
            • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee;
              New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
