Not for NiMh
I called Milwaukee Tech service and asked if this charger was rated for NIMh and they said it was not. Only NICd. When charged incorrectly NIMh batteries can blow up.

The charger works great for NICd but I do not recommend it for the NIMh application.

wireless screwdriver charger
I have had a Milwaukee cordless screwdriver for 15 or more years. I discovered the charger was not charging the batteries, and replaced it. The new unit works as advertised, and best of all it arrived in record time - an excellent feature of the purchase.

Milwaukee battery charger
An older Milwaukee product that has served me well in the past. I am glad that I am still able to get replacement parts after all the years of use.

BEST ANSWER: The charger you referenced above model 48-59-0300 does charge battery model 48-11-0100.
Does the original 48-59-0180 charger charge ni-mh batteries as well as the nicads?
Larry on Feb 15, 2015
I just talked to Milwaukee tech support (800.729.3878). He said that NiCad and NiMH batteries and chargers are not interchangeable.
The 48-59-0180 charger has been superseded by the -0300. Both are intended for NiCads only. 2.4v NiMH batteries that fit the Milwaukee screwdrivers are not a Milwaukee product. They require a dedicated NiMH charger which Milwaukee does not offer. As I see it, here are your choices for the Milwaukee 6545 Screwdriver:
1) Continue with the 48-11-0100 NiCads and a new 48-59-0300 charger.
2) Convert to aftermarket NiMH batteries and a NiMH charger (if you can find one).
3) Consider Milwaukee's new 2101-20/-21/-22 M4 Lithium screwdriver.
Does the charger conects in 120v ac outlet?
Alex on Oct 16, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it does. According to the specifications, the charger input voltage is 120VAC.
Good Evening, I would like to know why there isn't a reset SW/circuit breaker on the 2.4v charger. The charger that I have doesn't charge anymore. The Red LED or activator is on when a Battery is put in the socket for charging, goes out & the Battery does not get charged. Regards & Thank You
