These batteries are a joke. OK so i didnt use them for two months. Big deal. Both batteries will not even hold a charge now. Seems Milwaukee is proud of these puppies at [$]. Dont wast your money on this. Its not like your going to be driving 3 in screws into lumber with it. More then likely you will be installing light switch covers or using it for a hobby item. Go with an off brand and if its junk after two months buy another. You could do this three times for the price of two batteries. Buyer BeWare
I was shocked to be able to find this battery for my power screwdriver that I purchased over 30 years ago but finally the rechargeable battery would not hold a full charge anymore. I love this tool and thought I would never be able to find a battery after so many years and was pleasantly surprised. The new battery is a perfect fit and works great and was reasonably priced. Now I can use my favorite tool again.
I worked as a copier/printer tech for many years. When I purchased my Milwaukee 2.4v HD screwdriver in 2003, I used it every working day on the job as well as at home. It's been one of the best tools that I've owned. I used it frequently. I had two batteries, so that I always had available power. They had good lasting power. I am completely satisfied with the power and life of the batteries.
I use my Milwaukee 2.4v driver just about every day in my work as a computer technician. I'm sorry for the bad feelings of the last reviewer on the list, but if you use these batteries in the normal cycle of discharge-recharge, they do just fine. This came out before Lithium Ion batteries were available. Sitting idle is hard on ANY battery, not just these.
If you need more torque or runtime in a cordless screwdriver, use Milwaukee's 4v model. It's great. But for smaller jobs that demand precision, not torque, these batteries - and it's screwdriver - are just dandy.
