The Milwaukee Warranty Every MILWAUKEE power tool is tested before leaving the factory
and is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship.
MILWAUKEE will repair or replace (at MILWAUKEE's discretion), without
charge, any tool (including battery chargers) which examination proves
to be defective in material or workmanship from five (5) years after
the date of purchase. Return the tool and a copy of the purchase receipt
or other proof of purchase to a MILWAUKEE factory Service/Sales Support
Branch location or MILWAUKEE Authorized Service Station, freight prepaid
and insured. This warranty does not cover damage from repairs made or
attempted by other than MILWAUKEE authorized personnel, abuse, normal
wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or accidents.
The warranty period for V28, M12 and M18 Li-Ion Battery Packs is two (2) years from the date of purchase. XC M18 Battery packs carry a (5) year warranty. The warranty period for Ni-Cd Battery Packs, Flashlights, Radios, and Professional Hoists (lever, chain, and electric) is one (1) year from the date of purchase.
*The warranty period for Portable Generators is two (2) years from the date of purchase.

First used to pack out rafters 20 ft high. Light weight and pistol grip make it easy to handle for overhead work. Battery was strong, lasted long, and charged quickly. Already owned matching drill,so now I have a great system.

i use this tool in the repair of commercial laundry equipment. it's gret removing rusted nuts bolts etc.
does'nt strip screw heads like a cordless screwdriver will!

I replaced a older Dewalt impact driver with this unit since I already had an M12 cordless screwdriver and liked it.I won't get into details about the Li-ion batteries- the M12 system is nice, powerful,quick charging, and affordable. However, 1.4A limit is a little low and although has been adequate, it is not as long-lasting as my old XRP 12v.
I love the interchangeability with my other M12 tool and I love that Milwaukee sells the system a la carte. The batteries are about half the cost of the larger units. I would buy this again and will buy other M12 tools as I need.
The driver itself is very powerful and extremely well made. I will note two things: because of the design of the batteries inside pistol grip, the grip is wider than other tool, namely my old Dewalt and my Makita LXT drill. The second issue (and this may just be my tool) is that the battery opening seems a little bigger than my M12 driver. This means that 1 of my batteries sits really loose and unless I adjust it, can slip out.
One final note: I miss being able to place both my drill and impact driver on the ground standing. The smaller batteries mean that the tools need to be laid down carefully.
