The Milwaukee Warranty Every MILWAUKEE power tool is tested before leaving the factory
and is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship.
MILWAUKEE will repair or replace (at MILWAUKEE's discretion), without
charge, any tool (including battery chargers) which examination proves
to be defective in material or workmanship from five (5) years after
the date of purchase. Return the tool and a copy of the purchase receipt
or other proof of purchase to a MILWAUKEE factory Service/Sales Support
Branch location or MILWAUKEE Authorized Service Station, freight prepaid
and insured. This warranty does not cover damage from repairs made or
attempted by other than MILWAUKEE authorized personnel, abuse, normal
wear and tear, lack of maintenance, or accidents.
The warranty period for V28, M12 and M18 Li-Ion Battery Packs is two (2) years from the date of purchase. XC M18 Battery packs carry a (5) year warranty. The warranty period for Ni-Cd Battery Packs, Flashlights, Radios, and Professional Hoists (lever, chain, and electric) is one (1) year from the date of purchase.
*The warranty period for Portable Generators is two (2) years from the date of purchase.

My use so far has been limited. I have been using it to cut 2x4s studs in an outer wall, which is pushing the tool to its limit. It is after all battery powered. It also did not like cutting through a laminate counter. It would be fine for sheet rock, 1 by, medium to thin plywood, etc.

I waited a long time for the multi-tool to be offered as a bare tool. Unlike some other multi-tools that have changeable heads, this unit is solid and rigid, just what I need when cutting grout in a bathroom, for example. It ramps up when you turn on the switch, allowing you to keep control of the tool. All-in-all, it performs great. Understand some makes of blades and accessories - I believe Dremel is one - don't fit because of the hole lineup on their blades. But many do, and there are adapters available.

Overall the tool is solid, tough, versatile, ergonomic, has a built in battery gauge, 12 speeds (5,000-20,000 OPMs). Accepts almost all brand attachments with the included adapter, w/o the adapter it only accepts Milwaukee, Bosch & Skil brands. Standard M12 batteries drain in 7-10 minutes of "heavy" work, understandably. I've found the "XC" M12 battery is perfect for more efficient operation of this "high output" tool. I also own the Dremel Multimax and use it for sanding, rasping & grout removal. For wood/metal/drywall cutting I reach for the Milwaukee. 5 yr. tool warranty is better than most. All in all I would buy it again and recommend it to a friend.
