Comments about M12 12V Cordless Lithium-Ion Sub-Scanner Detection Tool (Bare Tool):

Not only does it find wood studs in plaster with ease but it finds rebar in concrete extremely well. This is as perfect a product for this segment as possible.

Comments about M12 12V Cordless Lithium-Ion Sub-Scanner Detection Tool (Bare Tool):

Does not perform any better than my Zircon scanner, but costs more than twice as much. The Zircon includes AC detection; this does not. The Zircon is easier to use.

The wheels on this scanner are very small, and there is very little clearance - any irregularity in the surface will cause the body of the scanner to bind.

They are both the same tool. The 2291-20 is a bare tool, the battery and charger must be purchased separately. Whereas the 2291-21 is a kit. It includes the battery and charger.
