Q:Wat is the most common application for that handy looking guy,can it help locate faults and shorts in electric motors
Q:Is this imager NIST -qualified /certified?
A:Thermal imagers don't 'read through' anything. If the concrete has been heated or cooled by underlying issues; then you could see that difference in temperature. The hollow cores on block walls will show cooler when the sun hits the exterior. Not enough of a temperature difference to tell from the inside when it is a block or concrete below grade.
A:Yes,this item comes with a Statement of Calibration.
Q:Will this thermal imager read through concrete and if so approximately how thick of concrete will it penetrate?
A:This thermal imager read the serf ace temperature of concrete. It will not read through the concrete.
Q:Will this read through concrete?
A:Yes it will. There is a adjustable Emissivity level on this meter. (default is set to 0.95 - for rubber, asphalt, concrete, black electrical tape)
