Super Hawg
This tool is powerful. My previous tool bogged down with a 1 1/2" spade and/or 1" self feed bit(s) in wet wood. No problem with this tool, it kept on digging with no effort. It did not "wrench" or "twist" me over when it hit a knot. The low speed clutch drive really helps me handle the tool in difficult drilling circumstances. (Wet wood and 8x8's. Highly recommended.

Super hawg with clutch
After tearing a ligament on the middle finger of my left hand when my previous drill and bit bound up (along with three months of occupational therapy). I bought the super hawg specificlly for the low speed clutch. It is heavy, but the fact that the head swivels around is a nice feature and the clutch on the low speed is a lifesaver!

hands down the best
This is by far the best right angle drill out there. This drill is fast and powerful. I use a 4 1/8" self feed bit in this drill and it doesn't even flinch and have no fear if it hangs up it won't smash your teeth out because it's clutched. It a little bulky but functionality makes up for it.

The name says it all
I use it to rough-in for plumbing. I drill holes up to 4 5/8" which with the older style hole hawg would catch a knot and throw you into the wall. This drill has a clutch so you don't have to worry about anymore. Great buy this is my 2nd one purchased

Unstoppable Power
I am an ISA Certified Arborist, and purchased this tool to run a 13/16"x48' fully fluted ship-auger bit, with a 48' extension, in order to drill holes for through-bracing support systems in large trees. In the course of the day, drilling holes up to 7 feet in length, this tool never worked up a sweat.

The clutch in the low rpm setting was a major selling point. If the bit binds, the clutch will slip, keeping the bit from binding to the point that it can't be reversed with the drill, as well as not throwing me into the next county.

I've also used it for drilling 5/16 by 2" holes in logs, in order to innoculate them with mushroom spawn. The weight of the tool is more than offset by the ease with which it can quickly drill a succession of holes without ever slowing down.

This is the second factory-reconditioned power tool I've purchased from CPO. I continue to be wholly satisfied with my reconditioned tool purchases.

New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
  • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
  • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
  • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
