    Comments about 3/8 in. Drill:

    I bought this to replace my old Craftsman 3/8" corded drill when the variable speed trigger failed after 30 years. I purchased this drill because it has a metal gearcase and draws 8 amps. The Milwaukee feels good to operate, has more torque than any other 3/8" drill I am aware of, has good speed control, and is easy to hold. I install a lot of lighting fixtures in metal and concrete, and this drill will do the job very nicely. Cordless drills are convenient, but nothing beats a good corded drill. Hoping for another 30 years. I do not notice the chuck wobble mentioned in other reviews on the tool itself, though the chuck housing is has a very slight eccentricity to it.

          This was an awesome buy. It was either a refurbished Milwaukee or a piece of junk new off brand drill.... def would do this again. Shipping was ridiculously fast too.

          Comments about 3/8 in. Drill:

          The drill is heavy but so is a V-10 motor versus a 4. Very powerful drill and sometimes I need to chuck a larger bit and this saves me from running for the 1/2 inch drill. Terrific price. This is the second "reconditioned" tool I bought from Tyler. Both were literally like new and delivered pronto. I know allot of pro carpenters and will direct them to these guys.

          • 3/8 in. Drill

            Q:

            How long is the cord & is it a 2 or 3. Wire? What is the total weight of the drill? How sensitive is the variable speed trigger?
            Asked on 11/11/2012 by Mike from Denver

            1 answer

            • A:

              The cord is 8 feet long. It weighs 4.25 lbs, but its shipping weight is 4.8 lbs. The speed trigger has a nice sensitivity.

          New Vs. Reconditioned

          Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.

          • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
          • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
          • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee;
            New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
