Comments about Milwaukee 1/2-in Magnum Drill, 0-850 RPM with Keyed Chuck:

This drill is very powerful yet shorter to fit in smaller places. I bought this one as a gift but have owned the same one for at least 10 years. This is the only drill I would ever buy.

Been using the "Magnum" for 25+ years!! This is my 2nd one, 1st one is getting a little tired now, lacking some torque and gets hot. Maybe time for new armature? BUY IT, you won't be let down!

Comments about Milwaukee 1/2-in Magnum Drill, 0-850 RPM with Keyed Chuck:

This drill successfully did things it wasn't intended to do, like pilot drilling into concrete and countertop masonry slabs. I pull this professional tool out when my 14.4V drill can't handle the load, such as when I had to counterbore 12 holes, 3/4" deep, and 1 1/8" in diameter. The drill was so powerful, that I had to be careful not to push down too hard! The only time that it ever bogged down was when I was drilling 1" holes a foot deep into an African Tulip Tree stump (about 30 inches in diameter). Still, it performed the job very well! The handle attachment provides an awesome balance. It versatile because you can attach it on either side of the tool. I've had this drill for four years, and I expect it to last another 20!

Comments about Milwaukee 1/2-in Magnum Drill, 0-850 RPM with Keyed Chuck:

I've had this drill for 30+ years. All I've replaced is the power cord and the brushes that come in the handle. I use it for tough jobs. I don't recommend it for overhead use. I've done that and it got caught and spun me off the ground around the drill until the cord came out and i weigh over 230 lbs. It goes through concrete and this drill does not slow down.

Comments about Milwaukee 1/2-in Magnum Drill, 0-850 RPM with Keyed Chuck:

Though I'm not a professional when it comes to using a tool like this, I AM an avid do-it-yourself kind of guy who demands quality, durability and performance from my tools. This one has never, and likely never will disappoint! I understand that the design is "long in the tooth," so to speak, but when Milwaukee recently considered dropping this model from their line-up, the outcry from professionals was so loud, they quickly reversed themselves, and decided to keep making this unstoppable drill. Truly, this is the "gold standard" against which all others are measured. Use the side handle on heavy jobs to save your wrist, because if the bit binds in the work, the drill is so powerful that you may injure your wrist! If you want the very best that money can buy, a drill that will last a lifetime, and put a smile on your face each and every time you use it, buy this drill. Otherwise, buy another brand, and come to regret your decision.

We have a very large Scenery shop. I am in charge of tool purchases. I have been using these drills exclusively for 15 years. I have tried many others but none compare to the versatility, durability and dependability of this drill.

Comments about Milwaukee 1/2-in Magnum Drill, 0-850 RPM with Keyed Chuck:

I have used these drills (this one in particular) for nearly 25 years. I will NEVER buy another drill for as long as I live, and I probably won't have to because the ones I have from 20 years ago still work fine, just the paint is banged up a bit, but who really cares. Milwaukee drills are simply the best drills made and I've used a bunch of other brands and they are simply garbage compared to the Milwaukee. This was the tool that got me buying Milwaukee brands and have led to me buying ALL Milwaukee tools. Start here with this one - you won't be sorry.
