Q:I have used many wire feed welders but this Maxus Pro 140 has problems. The wire seems to pulse regardless of the feed/speed and no mater how much or little tension is applied at the rollers. I'm using 0.030" flux core wire with the electrode negative as recommended. Copper tip is also 0.030". The wire tips pulses regardless of any of the forgoing settings. What might be wrong? It's out of warranty but hasn't been used over 2 hours total with terrible results. That's why the usage hours are so low. I don't even try to use it anymore after multiple attempts to get it to weld correctly. Can anything be done? Thanks!
A:For technical assistance, please contact Maxus directly at 800-543-6400
Q:Does this have a solenoid valve to control gas? Or does the gas flow continually when turned on by the valve?
A:This model is not equipped with a solenoid valve.
A:its got a solenoid always shut the tank off after use.your better off with the flux wire.
A:Yes it has a gas valve inside the welder, opens when the trigger is pulled & allows gas to flow thru gun cable & out the nozzle.
