Does this kit come with the bit storage in another compartment in the case?
Jeff on Jun 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Besides the two small molded-in storage compartments inside of the case, there is a second completely separate storage compartment area approximately the size of the exterior case dimensions 19"x12" hidden underneath the top part of the top half of the case lid. Confused? How you get access to this hidden storage area is as follows:

1st) on the top of the case above the handle you'll notice two small square holes molded into the case

2nd) Now place your finger tips directly under these two small square holes and you'll notice that there is an indentation/lip area that your fingers can slide up into.

3rd) Using your fingers, pull this lip outward so that this half of the case shell separates from its bottom half.

4th) Pull the case lid out just enough to disengage the two molded in locking clips. These clips are what's inside the two small square holes on the top of the case.

5th) Enjoy your 8 spacious newly found hidden storage compartments. Who new they were there????
I'm looking to purchase a new makita drill the 252 and 257 look very similar but vary slightly in price which of the two is of better quality and why?
Tony on Feb 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The impact driver located within model XT252 has slightly more torque (1,460 in-lbs of torque) compared to model XT257 with 1,420 in lbs). The big difference is in the batteries. Model 252 comes with 4.0 amp hr batteries and model 257 will include 5.0 amp hour batteries.
