Makita Standard Warranty
The Makita Standard Warranty applies to both new and factory-reconditioned Makita tools. Every Makita tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. If you are not satisfied with any Makita tool within 30 days of purchase, return it and Makita will provide a replacement or refund. Each Makita tool is warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for the period of ONE YEAR from the date of original purchase. Should any trouble develop during this one-year period, return the COMPLETE tool, freight prepaid, to one of Makita's Factory or Authorized Service Centers.If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita will repair (or at its option, replace without charge).
This Warranty does not apply where:
- Repairs have been made or attempted by others
- Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear
- The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained
- Alterations have been made to the tool

This is my second one. First one got borrowed and not returned. He got a good saw. I put a 20" bar on that one and will do the same to rid on. Great tool. Always starts.

In Truth I have the previous model, and love it, my only complaint with the original was the length of the handle which it appears they've addressed with this new model. The only other complaint I'd have is you really have to watch the chain oil level because you can get busy and end up running it dry if you're not careful. Some type of indicator or if the saw just stopped once the oil level got low and maybe a little red pin light would come on. It's amazing how much torque an electric motor has, this is easily equivalent to say a Stihl Model 230-250 in cutting ability. I also went to the local Stihl dealer and they made me up several chains on the spot for extras so getting additional chains is no problem

THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING CHAINSAW. IT IS QUIET AND SAFE TO USE. MY WIFE ALSO LIKES TO USE.
NO FIDDLING AROUND WITH RELUCTANT GAS ENGINE. THIS SAW ALWAYS STARTS AND DOES A GOOD JOB.
