If you are not satisfied with any Makita tool within 30 days of purchase, return it and Makita will provide a replacement or refund. Each Makita tool is warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for the period of ONE YEAR from the date of original purchase. Should any trouble develop during this one-year period, return the COMPLETE tool, freight prepaid, to one of Makita's Factory or Authorized Service Centers.If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita will repair (or at its option, replace without charge).

Purchased to remove invasive buckthorn from my property. Works well for this purpose because buckthorn is a "soft" wood. Not so great with hardwoods, although I have trimmed a few oak branches with it. If battery life was better (longer) it would be a perfect 5 star tool !!

This is the perfect tool for small jobs, and is lightweight, nicely balanced, quiet and very easy to use and maintain. I use it constantly for clearing brush, trimming branches and cutting trees and firewood 1" to 6" in diameter. It works best on soft to semi-hard wood that is more green than aged. I've used it for over seven years without any problems, on soft (cedar) to hard (yew) woods. Its performance is consistent enough to gauge how much cutting each battery type will support. The chain is easily removed, adjusted sharpened, and replaced. The only difficulty is that sometimes the batteries stick, and are hard to remove without effort.

I am a female palm tree climber and this is terrific---even tho I don't think they intended it for palm fronds(fibrous) the tensioner on mine was bad from day one (just the one i got) so that burned the motor out 1st and then the constant use burned it out again. ---the 1st 2 were under warranty.It's great w/ regular trees and i use it w/ either hand---i'm 50% disabled in my arms to boot--love this saw.

The chain is sharp and it chaches on everything you try to cut no matter how lightly you touch the wood.

I dont regret getting chain saw at all. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. I just wish it ran longer before needing recharge. I recommend it highly.
