Comments about 2.0 HP 2.6 Gallon Oil-Lube Air Compressor:

This unit arrived in perfect condition. Read the instructions, added the oil, installed the air filter assembly, opened the tank valve and cranked it up for a 20 minute no load break in. Worked like a champ.

Bought it to run our BeA staple gun for building our big double wall bumper boxes. Didn't need anything more, or less. Works perfect for what we needed and it's very quiet so we don't upset our retail neighbors.

Comments about 2.0 HP 2.6 Gallon Oil-Lube Air Compressor:

This is a very quiet unit, easy to use/pick up. have two larger Makita air compressors and have been impressed by well they have worked over the years.
This little unit is so much easier to pick up without breaking your back and still packs enough punch to keep up with whatever tool(nail, staple gun) you are working with.
Looked at many other (and read many reviews of) small air compressors, but none had the qualifications I was looking for.

Comments about 2.0 HP 2.6 Gallon Oil-Lube Air Compressor:

I use the compressor for my staple guns in upholstery. My old compressor was so noisy that it nearly drove me crazy. This one keeps the charge for a long time, and once it builds up air again, it is not noisy at all.

will this work with a framing nailer

          • A:

I have fired cases of framing nails with this compressor. The only time it might lag is nailing a bunch of subfloor fast and that is no big deal, just wait 10 seconds and go back to it. This is an awesome compressor.

It is suggested to use at least a 6 gallon compressor to operate an nailer.

will it run an impact gun requiring a 80 gallon compessor?

NO. it does not have enough CFM or capacity to adequately run an impact gun.

Answered on 10/24/2012 by Nate from Atlanta
          • A:

Hi, yes, as long as the CFM specifications match up, it will run an impact gun requiring an 80 gallon compressor storage tank, but it will need to run the compressor after only a moment or two of using the impact gun in order to provide it with the amount of air it needs.
In other words, you'll need to wait between uses of the impact gun quite frequently.

        New Vs. Reconditioned

What's the difference between New and Factory-Reconditioned?

Factory-Reconditioned products have been returned to the manufacturer and are restored to like-new operating condition; they go through a rigorous testing and inspection process. Plus, they offer a significant savings vs. new.
        • Reconditioned products may have minor cosmetic blemishes or scratches that do not affect item performance.
        • Reconditioned products may not come with all of the consumables the new version comes with (bits, sanding pads/papers, cases, etc.).
        • Both come with a manufacturer warranty and are covered by our Money Back Guarantee; New is 30 days, Reconditioned is 60 days.
