Every Makita ® 18V and 14.4V LXT Lithium-Ion Industrial Power Tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. If you are not satisfied with Makita 18V and 14.4V LXT Lithium-Ion tool within 30 days of purchase, return it and Makita will provide a replacement or refund. Every Makita 18V and 14.4V LXT Lithium-Ion tool is warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for the period of THREE YEARS from the date of original purchase. The Makita LXT Lithium-ion battery has a limited one-year warranty. This drill fools you in the beginning, it's light weight leeds you to think of it as "a light weight", until you use it and put it through several hours on a project and see it out preform bigger and heaver units. Another spot on product from Makita.

I'm very happy with my Makita drill , the front positioned light is great very bright , smooth working chuck , very light weight , the power on low has been very good I have been using it with a paddle bit drilling studs for plumbing and electrical , the power on the high end is not as great , perhaps its cause it has the half pack batterys but if you use the clutched head it seems to help alot , bit doesn't just jamb and stop .
I have been using Panasonic tools for the last 15 years , love the tools not a big fan of the company , I think I can see myself becoming a Maketa customer .

I use this drill just about everyday. I don't have to remember to charge the batteries overnight like I did with my old NiCad's. If I need a fresh battery I plug it in in the morning and it's ready to go in 15 minutes.
I wish now that I hadn't waited so long to replace my old Dewalt.
