Comments about 24.5cc Gas Powered Variable Speed Handheld Blower:

Use it mainly to blow leaves and tree debris.
Starts on first or second pull.
Sure would be nice if one could get an oval end pipe for this blower, and that's why only four stars.
Only had this for a short period and therefore can not speak for longevity.

Comments about 24.5cc Gas Powered Variable Speed Handheld Blower:

This is an EXCELLENT blower. It is 4-stroke so it always starts on one pull, there is no oil mixing, it is powerful, and light.

My 115 lb. wife has no problem starting it or using it.

I have a big Echo backpack blower that I have stopped using since I bought this Makita as it is just not worth bothering with.

It is worth every penny of its cost.

Comments about 24.5cc Gas Powered Variable Speed Handheld Blower:

We are a roofing contractor and use this to blow off the roof before installing underlayments
We use this blower to clean off the driveway and walkways as a clean up measure
We use around the shop to clear leaves and blow out shop floor
If you have never used a 4 cycle blower you may experience some loss in CFM but still has plenty of power.
The trade off not have to mix and store fuel is the best PLUS.
We now have 5 of these units if you have to wait for one its worth it.

              • 24.5cc Gas Powered Variable Speed Handheld Blower

                Q:

How much oil does the crankcase hold? My dipstick gauge broke (pt. #5926501700, obsolete) and so I can't measure the oil level. I want to change the oil which is a normal maintenance requirement, however my manual is not available.
Also, this blower (bhx2500ca) is the absolute best unit I have ever used. 4 cycle is a plus, but the starting within 2 pulls has been excellent for the four years I have owned this. There is no reason to hassle with 2-stroke units or an inferior brand. I purchased Makita because of my other hand tools being reliable, durable and long lasting.
